What does it feel like to be under constant threat of being attacked with poisonous gas by your own government? We are continuously exposed to live documentations from the war scene in Syria: White Helmets carrying wounded children away from collapsed buildings, death and brutality – an
d to some extent it makes us numb, because the distance to our comfortable lives is so extreme. With this compact exposition we hope to make you reflect on our European lives by mirroring common scenes in Syria with comparable everyday scenes in Denmark. This exhibition does not represent a political statement. It is a contribution to paint a broader and more nuanced picture of a crisis that affects the entire world. Next time we interact with other human beings, we should use the pictures shown as an inspiration to give sympathy and respect.
