An influential figure in not just the Muslim world, but the entire world: Soraya Tarzi (Queen of Afghanistan, February 28, 1919-January 14, 1929.)
Born on the 24th of November 1899.
1928: Honorary degree from Oxford University.
Key activities: Outstanding performances towards all aspect of women’s right and education for women.
Known as: The first Muslim women in the world. She was always by her husband’s side at national events, hunting parties, cabinet meetings, wounded soldiers’ tents during the war of Independence, and even to dangerous, rebellious provinces.
Compassionate Queen Soraya died at the age of 68 in Rome Italy.
