Tropical Storm Irma
Irma continues to churn northward, bringing rain and strong winds to several southeastern states. Dangerous flooding is reported in parts of Georgia and South Carolina, including Savannah and Charleston. In Florida, where Irma made landfall Sunday as a Category 4 hurricane, officials are beginning to assess the damage caused by its destructive march. Irma is expected to weaken by tomorrow to a tropical depression.
The safety of our employees and customers is our primary concern. USPS has temporarily suspended operations in many areas in the path of the storm. Check “Service disruption alerts” or “Is my Post Office open” under “Residential customers” below for the latest information.
