We run guided walks through the cloud forest in search of nocturnal animals. We regularly see frogs, insects, snakes, and mammals such as kinkajous, opossums, armadillos, etc. We know our nocturnal wildlife well and provide a fun and educational experience! The walk is slow paced and ideal for all ages. Mosquitos are not a problem so don't worry. We provide flashlights if needed and have some rubber boots on hand in the event the conditions are a little muddy. Don't forget to bring your camera as pictures are allowed! We run the walks nightly starting at 7pm. The cost is $15 per-person including transportation from most locations in Mindo, a guide, and trail fees. We take no more than 8 people per walk. In the event we are fully booked for the 7pm slot, we begin to book for 8:30. The walk takes 1.5 hours and the total time from pick-up to drop-off is approximately 2 hours.
We have now added a longer, private night walk option! $100 secures the walk, and it’s an extra $20 per person, up to a total of 6 people allowed. This is a walk that has a flexible start and finish time. We can start as early as 5pm. We normally spend 3-5 hours on this private tour and choose the location depending on whether or not there are specific types of animals you hope to see. Some areas are better than others depending on your target animal species. Let us know if you have any questions!
