aastal piiskop Märt Vähi ja tema poja Andrew Vähi asutatud avalikes huvides tegutsev mittetulundusühing, mille eesmärgiks on sotsiaalselt vähekaitstud ja probleemsete inimeste – alkoholi- ja narkosõltlaste – võõrutamine, rehabiliteerimine ja abistamine tavaühiskonda naasmisel. Lootuse Küla asub rajaja Märt Vähi poolt keskusele annetatud maadel, kuhu tänaseks on rajatud teed, majad programmis osale
jatele ja personalile, administratiiv- ja õppehoone, puidutööstus, vabatahtliku tuletõrjekomando depoo, veevarustuse süsteem, puurkaev, jm. Lootuse Küla südameks on Eesti Kristliku Nelipühi Kiriku Lootuse Küla kogudus. Lootuse Küla ei ole enam ammu pelgalt Laitse metsades asuv keskus. Avatud on Lootuse Küla Keila Keskus, mille tegevuse eesmärgiks on aidata rehabilitatsiooniporgrammi lõpetanutel integreeruda ühiskonda. Samuti on meie uuteks ning arenevateks tegevusharudeks Lootuse Küla Järvakandi Keskus ning suunatud tegevus naistele. Lootuse Küla igas tööharus juhatatakse nägema oma sõltuvuse põhjuseid ja tagajärgi (suhted lähedastega, arusaam iseendast), julgustatakse taastama katkenud suhteid. Õpitakse üksteisele toetudes igapäevaselt töötama, selle käigus probleeme lahendama, austama ümbritsevat, hoolitsema enda ja teiste eest – tegema kõike seda, mida siiani pole osatud teha. Oluline on, et õpitakse vastutust võtma oma tegude eest ning vajadusel korraldatakse ka suhted riiklike instantsidega. The Village of Hope, established in 2000 by the Bishop Märt Vähi and his son Andrew Vähi, is a non-governmental organisation which operates in public interest and with an aim to help the socially underprivileged and delinquent people, i.e. alcohol and drug addicts, with withdrawal, rehabilitation and return to society. The Village of Hope is located in the territory donated by the founder Rev Märt Vähi where by now we have built up roads, houses for program participants and the staff, a building for administrative and training purposes, timber industry, volunteer fire department, water supply system, a drill well, etc. The heart of the Village of Hope is the Congregation of the Village of Hope of the Estonian Christian Pentecostal Church. The Village of Hope is no longer just a center located in the woods of Laitse. Also the Keila Center is now open, whose main purpose is to help the rehabilitation program graduates to integrate into society. In addition, we have two new and evolving branches of development: The Järvakandi Center, and the activities aimed at women. In all Village of Hope line of work the participants are guided to see the reasons for and the consequences of their addiction (close relationships, self-awareness); they are encouraged to restore their broken relationships. The participants learn how to work with each other's support on daily basis, to deal with and solve problems as they arise, to respect the people and nature around them, to take care of themselves and others – to do everything they have not been able to do so far. It is important that the participants learn how to take responsibility for what they have done, and if necessary, to fix their relations with government authorities.
