🇩🇰 Happy Constitution Day! Glædelig Grundlovsdag! 🇩🇰

Today we celebrate the fact that Denmark has been a democracy for 177 years, safeguarding basic rights such as freedom of speech, freedom of assembly and the right to vote.

This year's Constitution Day comes just days after Denmark formed a new government, making it a timely reminder of the importance of democratic institutions and civic participation.

Did you know that the Danish Constitutional Act is one of the oldest in the world? 🌍📜

🇪🇺 The Entry/Exit System (EES) marks a new era in border security.

29 European countries using the EES digitally record non-EU nationals travelling for short stays. They will hold reliable data on who crosses the borders with a foreign passport. Thanks to the EES, Europe is a safer place for all.

Take a tour of flavours of Western Jutland! 🌊🇩🇰

In the first episode of the Kanal 2 programme “Mis teil siin head on?”, Estonian TV host Kristjan Gold travels along Denmark’s west coast from Ribe, via Herning, to Hvide Sande.

Along the way he dives into the region’s food traditions – baking Danish pastries, preparing classic 'smørrebrød' with TV chef and scriptwriter Adam Price, and cooking traditional 'fiskefrikadeller' with remoulade in Hvide Sande, accompanied by locally brewed beer.

Follow the journey along the Danish west coast and watch the episode her: https://duoplay.ee/11614?ep=1 (available for 13 days)

Recipes from the episode can be found in the comments.

Enjoy – and bon appétit! 😋
