The National Insititue for International Education(NIIED) of the Republis of Korea plans to offer scholarships to foreign students. Global Korea Scholarship(GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea at graduate-level degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

If you, as an Estonian national, are interested in the program, please check the guidelines and submit the required application documents online.

1️⃣Application date : 12 Feb 11:00- 25 Feb 18:00 (KST)

2️⃣Application method: online application via the website -> www.studyinkorea.go.kr
▶️Submit an application after sign-up as a user.
▶️No modifications can be made after submission, and duplicate applications through multiple accounts are not permitted.
▶️Submission of apostille or consular legalization documents for certificates will be required at a later stage for candidates who pass the embassy interview

3️⃣Interview : Selected applicants will be invited to an interview at the Korean Embassy.
▶️The Embassy will contact to set up a schedule for interview(estimated time is the first week of March)
▶️Final candidate will be informed before March 13th

4️⃣Candidate selected by the Embassy will be reviewed by NIIED(2nd) and the Univesities(3rd) and the final result will be announced in June.

🪷 The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Estonia donated over 100 books to the Liivalaia Library.
Most of the books are in English, so no Korean language skills are required. There is so much to discover - from K-food culture to K-pop!
📖 In addition, we invite you to participate in the K-Bingo reading game introducing Korean literature, which will take place from January 22 to May 21. You do not have to read books in Korean language to participate in the game – you can also choose works in English and Estonian.

- TOPIK I : 9:40 - 11:20 // TOPIK II: 12:50 - 16:20
- Required documents: Application slip, valid ID(or passport) with photo
- Please be seated 30 minutes before the exam starts.

- You will receive a scanned file of application slip by 27th of February, and you must print it out and present it when you take the exam.

♣ Please note that the exam can be cancelled due to low enrollment (minimum 10 persons per a level(TOPIK I/ II)). We will inform applicants individually if the exam is cancelled. ♣

✅RESULT NOTICE: May 29, 2026

The test result and certificate can be printed free of charge on the TOPIK website.

🎶 Gayageum Concert in the Tallinn Central Library on November 26

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea and Tallinn Central Library invite you to enjoy the Korean film named “Broker” which was released in 2022.
The film “Broker” follows the journey of a broker who illegally trades babies left in baby boxes and a mother who abandoned her child, opening up sincere questions about what truly makes a family.
Song Kangho, the leading actor of this film, won the Best Actor Award at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.
The film screening will take place in the large hall of the Library on December 10 starting at 17:30.
