Applications are now open for Cohort 8 of the Cairo Program!

ITIDA, in collaboration with Plug and Play Egypt and the National Bank of Egypt, is inviting early- to growth-stage startups to apply for the upcoming three-month program, hosted at CREATIVA Innovation Hub at Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace.

The program supports AI-enabled startups across different sectors, helping them accelerate their growth, strengthen their investment readiness, and access new market opportunities.

On behalf of H.E. Eng. Raafat Hindy, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, attended the inauguration of the Coca-Cola HBC Digital Hub in Cairo, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mr. Zoran Bogdanovic, CEO of Coca-Cola HBC, Ms. Naya Kalogeraki, Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Mourad Ajarti, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, alongside senior government officials and business leaders.

The new Digital Hub represents a strategic investment that will serve as a global delivery center, delivering advanced digital services from Egypt to support Coca-Cola HBC’s operations across 27 countries in Europe and Africa.

Building on the collaboration between ITIDA and Coca-Cola HBC since 2024, and reinforced through the Memorandum of Understanding signed during the Global Offshoring Summit, the hub reflects growing confidence in Egypt’s competitive advantages as a global destination for digital services and high-value offshoring.

The hub currently employs 250 specialists, with plans to expand to 450 professionals by 2027, while generating an estimated USD 34 million annually in digital exports. It brings together advanced capabilities across artificial intelligence, software engineering, quality assurance, data analytics, UI/UX design, and agile delivery, supporting the company’s digital transformation and innovation across multiple markets.

The inauguration underscores ITIDA’s continued commitment to attracting high-value investments, fostering strategic partnerships with global enterprises, developing future-ready digital talent, and accelerating the growth of Egypt’s digital exports in line with the Digital Egypt strategy.

Yesterday, ITIDA participated as a Strategic Partner in WorkShift Summit 2026, a platform dedicated to freelancing, flexible work, and the digital economy.

The summit brought together government leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, technology leaders, digital platforms, entrepreneurs, and freelancers to discuss how Egypt can turn its growing digital talent base into sustainable economic opportunities.

As part of ITIDA’s participation, Eng. Mahmoud Sofrata, Vice CEO of ITIDA, delivered a keynote speech highlighting the importance of empowering digital talent, supporting technology-enabled work models, and strengthening Egypt’s position as a leading regional hub for digital services and innovation.

The summit also featured the participation of H.E. Mr. Hassan Raddad, Minister of Labour; Dr. Hoda Baraka, Honorary Chair of WorkShift Summit 2026; and Ms. Nermine El Nemr, Founder of , WorkShift and Freelancer Liberty, alongside key representatives from the public and private sectors.

Eng. Amr Barakat, Acting Manager of the Technology Management Department at ITIDA, also joined the panel discussion “The Future Compass: How Digital Platforms Are Reshaping the Employment Landscape in Egypt,” which explored how digital platforms are opening new pathways for young professionals to build competitive skills, access wider markets, and create sustainable online careers.
