The Textile Export Council of Egypt (TEC), a Public Private Partnership (PPP) organization founded in 1997 by the Ministry of Trade and Industry, functions as a key advisory to the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, uniting leading ecosystem stakeholders. TEC advocates for the welfare of textile exporters, boosts textile product visibility globally, and strives to establish Egypt as a top-n

According to the Harmonized System of Tariffs (HS Code), the textile sector comprises 10 chapters encompassing a total of 575 items. TEC oversees approximately 30 sub-product categories as follows:

في ضوء توجيهات السيد الدكتور/ وزير الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية إلى ضرورة توسيع قاعدة المصدرين وتأهيل الشركات والمنتجين ذو الجاهزية التصديرية، بما يتفق مع إستراتيجية الوزارة نحو تنمية الصادرات وزيادة تنافسية المنتجات الوطنية بالاسواق الخارجية، يدعوكم المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات للتسجيل والمشاركة في المبادرة.

🔹 تناولت الورشة آليات الاستفادة من المزايا الجمركية التي توفرها الاتفاقيات التجارية، إلى جانب التعرف على قواعد المنشأ والتراكم، بما يسهم في تعزيز فرص نفاذ الصادرات المصرية إلى الأسواق الدولية ورفع قدرتها التنافسية.

🔹 وشهدت الورشة، التي أُقيمت يوم الأربعاء 12 أغسطس بمقر المجلس، مشاركة 15 متدربًا يمثلون 9 شركات من أعضاء المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات.

🔹 The workshop covered mechanisms for benefiting from the tariff advantages provided by trade agreements, along with an introduction to Rules of Origin and Cumulation, contributing to enhanced market access for Egyptian exports and strengthening their competitiveness in international markets.

🔹 Held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at the Textile Export Council’s headquarters, the workshop brought together 15 trainees representing 9 member companies of the Textile Export Council.

في إطار حرص المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات بالتعاون مع المجلس التصديري للملابس الجاهزة بتوفير أحدث المعلومات والخدمات التي تدعم الشركات المصدرة وتعزز قدرتها التنافسية في الأسواق العالمية، تم تنظيم ندوة تعريفية افتراضية بالتعاون مع الشركة المصرية لضمان الصادرات (EGE).

شهدت الندوة استعراضًا شاملًا للدور الحيوي الذي تقوم به الشركة في دعم المصدرين المصريين، من خلال تقديم حلول متكاملة لضمان الصادرات، والحد من المخاطر التجارية والسياسية المرتبطة بعمليات التصدير، بما يساهم في منح الشركات مزيدًا من الثقة عند دخول أسواق جديدة والتوسع في الأسواق الحالية.

كما تناولت الندوة الخدمات والبرامج التأمينية التي توفرها الشركة، وآليات الاستفادة منها، بما يساعد الشركات على تعزيز استدامة أعمالها، وزيادة تنافسيتها، وفتح آفاق جديدة للنمو والتوسع في التجارة الدولية.

تأتي هذه الندوة في إطار حرص المجلسين على توفير منصة تجمع الشركات الأعضاء مع الجهات الداعمة لقطاع التصدير، وإتاحة الفرصة للتعرف على الأدوات والحلول العملية التي تسهم في زيادة الصادرات المصرية وتعزيز مكانة المنتج المصري في الأسواق العالمية.

As part of the Textile Export Council of Egypt’s ongoing commitment, in collaboration with the Apparel Export Council of Egypt, to provide the latest information and value-added services that support exporting companies and enhance their competitiveness in global markets, a virtual introductory webinar was organized in cooperation with the Egyptian Export Credit Guarantee Company (EGE).

The webinar provided a comprehensive overview of EGE’s vital role in supporting Egyptian exporters through integrated export credit guarantee solutions designed to mitigate commercial and political risks associated with international trade. These solutions help exporters conduct business with greater confidence, enter new markets, and expand their presence in existing ones.

The session also highlighted EGE’s insurance services and programs, along with the mechanisms for accessing and benefiting from them. These services enable companies to strengthen business sustainability, improve competitiveness, and unlock new opportunities for growth and expansion in international markets.

This webinar reflects the continuous commitment of both Export Councils to connect member companies with key institutions supporting the export sector, while providing practical tools and solutions that contribute to increasing Egyptian exports and strengthening the global position of Egyptian products.

يفخر المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات بالمشاركة كشريك في فعاليات مبادرة "مصر تنطلق بالتصدير"، التي أطلقتها وزارة الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية بمحافظة الغربية، واستضافتها جامعة طنطا يومي 29 و30 يوليو 2026، وذلك في إطار جهود الدولة لدعم وتنمية الصادرات المصرية وتعزيز تنافسية الصناعة الوطنية.

وافتتح فعاليات المبادرة معالي الدكتور محمد فريد، وزير الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية، واللواء الدكتور علاء إبراهيم عبد المعطي، محافظ الغربية، والدكتور محمد حسين محمود، رئيس جامعة طنطا، وذلك بحضور نخبة من ممثلي الجهات الحكومية، والمجالس التصديرية، والمصدرين، ورواد الأعمال.

كما شهدت المبادرة توقيع بروتوكول تعاون بين جامعة طنطا ومركز تدريب التجارة الخارجية التابع لوزارة الاستثمار والتجارة الخارجية، بما يعزز التعاون في بناء القدرات وتأهيل الكوادر الداعمة لمنظومة التصدير.

وتؤكد مشاركة المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات التزامه المستمر بدعم المصنعين، وتعزيز التعاون مع مختلف الشركاء، ونشر ثقافة التصدير في المحافظات، بما يسهم في توسيع قاعدة المصدرين، ورفع القدرة التنافسية للمنتجات المصرية، وتحقيق مستهدفات الدولة لزيادة الصادرات وفتح أسواق جديدة أمام الصناعة المصرية.

The Textile Export Council (TEC) is proud to participate as a partner in the "Egypt Launches Export" initiative, organized by the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade in Gharbia Governorate and hosted by Tanta University on July 29–30, 2026. The initiative comes as part of the government's ongoing efforts to support the growth of Egyptian exports and enhance the competitiveness of the national industry.

The initiative was officially inaugurated by H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade; Major General Dr. Alaa Ibrahim Abdel Moaty, Governor of Gharbia; and Dr. Mohamed Hussein Mahmoud, President of Tanta University, in the presence of distinguished representatives from government entities, export councils, exporters, and the business community.

The initiative also witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between Tanta University and the Foreign Trade Training Center of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, reinforcing collaboration in capacity building and the development of qualified professionals to support Egypt's export ecosystem.

TEC's participation reflects its continued commitment to supporting manufacturers, strengthening cooperation with key stakeholders, and promoting an export-oriented culture across Egypt's governorates. These efforts contribute to expanding the country's exporter base, enhancing the competitiveness of Egyptian products, and advancing the state's objectives of increasing exports and opening new international markets for Egyptian industry.

في إطار دعم تنافسية الصادرات المصرية وتعزيز جاهزية الشركات للتوسع في الأسواق العالمية، نظم المجلس التصديري للغزل والمنسوجات، بالتعاون مع المجلس التصديري للملابس الجاهزة ومركز تحديث الصناعة، ندوة افتراضية بعنوان:

“التعريف بكيفية الاستفادة من برنامج تنمية الصادرات فيما يخص شهادات الجودة والمطابقة للتصدير”

وشهدت الندوة استعراض آليات الاستفادة من برنامج تنمية الصادرات لدعم الشركات في الحصول على شهادات الجودة والمطابقة الدولية، مثل ISO وSedex وWRAP وغيرها من الشهادات المعتمدة، والتي تمثل أحد أهم المتطلبات الأساسية لتعزيز قدرة المنتجات المصرية على النفاذ إلى الأسواق العالمية وزيادة تنافسيتها.

كما تناول اللقاء جهود التحول الرقمي في قطاعي الملابس الجاهزة والغزل والمنسوجات، وأبرز الأدوات والمبادرات الداعمة لتطوير الأداء ورفع كفاءة الشركات بما يتماشى مع المتغيرات العالمية ومتطلبات التصدير الحديثة.

ويأتي هذا اللقاء في إطار حرص المجالس التصديرية ومركز تحديث الصناعة على تمكين الشركات المصرية من تحقيق نمو مستدام وزيادة صادراتها وتعزيز مكانة المنتج المصري في الأسواق الدولية.

As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian exports and strengthen companies’ readiness to expand into international markets, the Textile Export Council of Egypt (TEC), in cooperation with the Apparel Export Council of Egypt (AECE) and the Industrial Modernisation Centre (IMC), organized a virtual seminar entitled:

“How to Benefit from the Export Development Program Regarding Export Quality and Compliance Certifications.”

The seminar highlighted the mechanisms through which companies can benefit from the Export Development Program to obtain internationally recognized quality and compliance certifications, including ISO, Sedex, WRAP, and other certifications that have become essential requirements for increasing the access of Egyptian products to global markets and enhancing their international competitiveness.

The session also showcased the latest developments in the digital transformation of the apparel and textiles sectors, as well as the key initiatives and tools supporting companies in improving efficiency, driving innovation, and meeting modern export requirements.

This initiative reflects the commitment of the export councils and the Industrial Modernisation Centre to empowering Egyptian companies, boosting exports, and reinforcing the position of Egyptian products in international markets.
