مازن الغرباوي أول مصري وعربي يتولى الرئاسة الشرفية لمهرجان مسرحي دولي في أوروبا
** إنجاز مصري جديد في أوروبا.. مازن الغرباوي رئيسًا شرفيًا لمهرجان ALBAMONO بألبانيا
في إنجاز جديد يضاف إلى مسيرته المسرحية الدولية، اختارت إدارة مهرجان ALBAMONO الدولي للمونودراما في ألبانيا المخرج المصري مازن الغرباوي رئيسًا شرفيًا للدورة الثانية والعشرين من المهرجان، ليصبح – وفق ما أعلنته إدارة المهرجان – أول مصري وعربي يتولى منصب الرئيس الشرفي لمهرجان مسرحي دولي في أوروبا.
ويقام مهرجان ALBAMONO في مدينة بوجراديتس الألبانية، ويعد من الفعاليات الدولية المتخصصة في فن المونودراما، حيث يشارك فيه فنانون وعروض من دول مختلفة، ويشكل مساحة للتبادل الثقافي والتواصل بين المسرحيين من مختلف أنحاء العالم، وقد استمر المهرجان على مدار أكثر من عقدين، وسبق أن استضاف تجارب مسرحية وفنانين من دول متعددة.
ويأتي اختيار مازن الغرباوي للرئاسة الشرفية للمهرجان تقديرًا لمسيرته في مجال الإخراج المسرحي، وإدارة المهرجانات ، بالإضافة لإسهاماته في دعم الحراك المسرحي العربي، إلى جانب حضوره في المحافل والمهرجانات المسرحية الدولية.
وتقام الدورة الثانية والعشرون من مهرجان ALBAMONO في ألبانيا خلال الفترة من 10 إلي 15 سبتمبر عام 2026، بمشاركة عدد من التجارب المسرحية، ويرأس المهرجان إدموند هيوماري (Edmond Xhumari).
ويعكس اختيار مخرج مصري وعربي لهذا المنصب الرفيع تقديرًا للحضور المتنامي للمسرح المصري والعربي على خريطة المهرجانات الدولية، ويفتح مساحة جديدة لتعزيز جسور التعاون المسرحي بين مصر والعالم.
Mazen El-Gharabawy Becomes First Egyptian and Arab to Assume Honorary Presidency of an International Theatre Festival in Europe
A New Egyptian Achievement in Europe… El-Gharabawy Appointed as Honorary President of Albamono Festival in Albania
Within the framework of a new achievement added to his international theatrical career, the management of the Albamono International Monodrama Festival has appointed Egyptian director Mazen El-Gharabawy as honorary president of the 22nd edition. According to the festival’s management, El-Gharabawy becomes the first Egyptian and Arab to hold the honorary presidency of an international theatre festival in Europe.
The Albamono Festival, held in Pogradec, is regarded as one of the leading international events specialising in monodrama. It features artists and performances from multiple countries. Additionally, it offers a space for cultural exchange and communication among theater professionals from across the world. The festival has been running for more than two decades and has hosted theatrical productions and artists from several countries.
The selection of El-Gharabawy as honorary president of the festival comes in recognition of his career in theatrical directing and festival management, in addition to his contributions to supporting the Arab theatrical movement. He has also participated in international theatre festivals and events.
The 22nd Albamono Festival will be held in Albania between (10-15) September, 2025, featuring a group of theatrical productions. The festival is chaired by Edmond Xhumari.
The selection of an Egyptian and Arab director for this prestigious position sheds light on the appreciation of the growing presence of Egyptian and Arab theater on the international festivals’ map and opens up a space for promoting bridges of theatrical collaboration between Egypt and the world.
