🏡✨ What happens when young people connect with communities, listen to families, and build with their own hands?
Real impact happens. 💙
Habitat for Humanity Egypt, in partnership with CEOSS – Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, hosted the Manara School El Gouna Workcamp, bringing together students, teachers, local partners, and HFHE staff for three inspiring days of learning, community engagement, and hands-on construction activities in Ezbet Shehata and El Ruby villages in Minya Governorate.
Students actively participated in construction and renovation activities, including bricklaying, wall construction, plastering, and supporting on-site work, experiencing first-hand the value of volunteerism and the impact of collective action. 👷♂️🧱🤝
They also visited vulnerable families whose homes have been selected for reconstruction through Habitat's housing programs, listening to their stories, aspirations, and hopes for a better future. In addition, students met homeowners who had already benefited from Habitat's interventions, giving them the opportunity to witness the life-changing impact of safe and adequate housing. 🌍✨
Through these meaningful interactions, students gained a deeper understanding of the challenges and aspirations of the families they met, while sharing their own ideas for creating better housing and stronger communities. 🏡💡🤝
Because building homes is not only about construction — it is about restoring dignity, creating hope, and empowering communities to thrive.
🏡✨ ماذا يحدث عندما يتواصل الشباب مع المجتمعات، ويستمعون إلى الأسر، ويشاركون بأيديهم في البناء؟
يحدث أثر حقيقي. 💙
نظّمت هابيتات فور هيومانيتي مصر، بالشراكة مع الهيئة القبطية الإنجيلية للخدمات الاجتماعية، معسكر عمل مدرسة منارة الجونة، والذي جمع الطلاب والمعلمين والشركاء المحليين وفريق هابيتات مصر خلال ثلاثة أيام ملهمة من التعلم والتفاعل المجتمعي وأنشطة البناء الميدانية في قريتي عزبة شحاتة والروبي بمحافظة المنيا.
شارك الطلاب بأيديهم في أعمال البناء والترميم، بما شمل بناء الحوائط وأعمال المحارة ومساندة فرق العمل بالموقع، ليعيشوا تجربة عملية تعكس قيمة العمل التطوعي وأثر العمل الجماعي في دعم المجتمعات. 👷♂️🧱🤝
كما زار الطلاب الأسر الأكثر احتياجًا والتي تم اختيار منازلها لإعادة البناء ضمن برامج هابيتات للإسكان، واستمعوا إلى قصصهم وتطلعاتهم وآمالهم في مستقبل أفضل. كذلك التقوا بأسر استفادت بالفعل من تدخلات هابيتات، مما أتاح لهم فرصة مشاهدة الأثر الحقيقي الذي يمكن أن يحققه السكن الآمن والملائم في حياة الأسر والمجتمعات. 🌍✨
ومن خلال هذه اللقاءات الملهمة، اكتسب الطلاب فهمًا أعمق للتحديات والتطلعات التي تعيشها الأسر التي التقوا بها، كما شاركوا بأفكارهم ورؤاهم لبناء مساكن أفضل ومجتمعات أكثر قوة. 🏡💡🤝
لأن بناء المنازل لا يتعلق فقط بأعمال البناء، بل باستعادة الكرامة، وصناعة الأمل، وتمكين المجتمعات من الازدهار.
