As part of the ongoing activities marking World Field Epidemiology Day, 35 professionals from the human, animal and environmental health sectors continue their year-long learning journey through the intermediate-level Field Epidemiology Training Program specializing in One Health, as they begin the second training module.
The journey began in July 2026 through the Preventive Medicine and Public Health Sector at the Ministry of Health and Population, in collaboration with WHO Egypt and FAO Egypt, with funding from the Pandemic Fund.
The training brings together professionals from central- and governorate-level departments within the Ministry of Health and Population, the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, the Ministry of Environment, and the Egyptian Drug Authority. Participants continue strengthening their capacity to detect, investigate, and respond to emerging health threats at the intersection of human, animal, and environmental health.
Alongside the training, participants recognized World Field Epidemiology Day through interactive activities and photos, highlighting field epidemiologists’ roles and efforts to protect public health.
