فرصة تدريب لمدة تصل إلى ستة أشهر في عام ٢٠٢٦ ضمن قسم الشؤون السياسية والصحافة والإعلام التابع لبعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي لدى السودان ( القاهرة، مصر).

يتولى قسم الشؤون السياسية والصحافة والإعلام رصد وتحليل التطورات السياسية في السودان، وإدارة العلاقات مع االسلطات السودانية والمجتمع المدني، والترويج لقيم وسياسات الاتحاد الأوروبي.

كما يُعنى القسم بالعلاقات الإعلامية والدبلوماسية العامة والتواصل الاستراتيجي لتعزيز حضور الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان.
نُقدّم:

المهام الرئيسية:

اولا: المشاركة في البحوث السياسية المتعلقة بالسودان؛

ثانيا: دعم القسم في أعماله اليومية (التحضير للاجتماعات وحضورها، والمهام التنظيمية واللوجستية)؛

ثالثا: المساعدة في إعداد المواد الإعلامية والإعلامية وأنشطة الدبلوماسية العامة؛

رابعا: تحديث موقع البعثة الإلكتروني ومنصات التواصل الاجتماعي؛

خامسا: المساعدة في كتابة البيانات الصحفية، بالإضافة إلى التقارير الصحفية حول قضايا محددة تتعلق بكيفية تصوير الاتحاد الأوروبي وأنشطة البعثة في وسائل الإعلام؛

سادسا: المساعدة في الاجتماعات وصياغة محاضرها؛

نبحث عن مؤهلات أو متطلبات خاصة:

نظراً للظروف الصحية والأمنية المحلية، سيتم النظر فقط في طلبات المتقدمين (المواطنين المصريين، والمواطنين السودانيين الحاصلين على تصاريح عمل مصرية، والمواطنين الأوروبيين الحاصلين على تصاريح عمل) المقيمين حالياً في جمهورية مصر العربية.

اولا: شهادة جامعية في العلوم السياسية، أو الاتصالات، أو إدارة الأعمال، أو الاقتصاد، أو العلوم الاجتماعية، أو القانون، أو المجالات ذات الصلة.

ثانيا: الاهتمام بالثقافة والسياسة السودانية، ويفضل الإلمام بهما.

ثالثا: القدرة على التعامل مع القضايا الحساسة بمسؤولية.

رابعا: مهارات تحليلية وكتابية ممتازة.

خامسا: إجادة اللغة الإنجليزية والعربية. يُفضل إتقان اللهجات السودانية ولغات أخرى.

سادسا: يجب ألا تتجاوز خبرة المتقدمين المهنية سنة واحدة بعد التخرج عند توقيع اتفاقية التدريب.

سابعا: يجب ألا تتجاوز خبرة المتقدمين المهنية سنة واحدة بعد التخرج عند توقيع اتفاقية التدريب. (لا تُحتسب التدريبات الأخرى أو وظائف الطلاب أو الأعمال التطوعية التي تمت أثناء الدراسة الجامعية أو بعد التخرج ضمن الخبرة المهنية).

Funded traineeship for young graduates at the EU Delegation to Sudan The deadline for submitting applications is 15.09.2026 – noon (Cairo time)

Are you a young graduate interested in international relations? Are you curious to learn more about work of a diplomatic mission and how the EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Sudan?

We offer:

A traineeship of up to 6 months in 2026 within the Political, Press and Information Section (PPI) of the EU Delegation to Sudan (based in Cairo, Egypt). The tentative start date is November 2026.
The Political, Press and Information Section monitors and analyses political developments, manages relations with the Sudanese government and civil society and promotes EU values and policies.


It also handles media relations, public diplomacy and strategic communication to enhance the EU's visibility in Sudan.

Main tasks:

• Participate in political research on Sudan;

• Support the section on day-to-day work (preparation and attendance to meeting organizational and logistic tasks);

• Assist in preparation of press and information and public diplomacy activities;

• Update the Delegation's website and social media platforms;

• Assist in writing press statements, in addition to press reports on specific issues related to how the EU and the activities of its Delegation are portrayed in the media;

• Assist in meetings and drafting minutes;

We look for Qualifications or special requirements:

Considering the local health and security conditions, only applicants (Egyptian citizens, Sudanese citizens with Egyptian work permits, European citizens with work permits) currently residing in the Arab Republic of Egypt will be considered.

• University degree in Political Sciences, Communications, Business, Economic, Social, Law or and related fields.

• Interest in - and preferably knowledge of Sudanese culture and politics;

• Ability to handle sensitive issues in a responsible manner;

• Excellent analytical and drafting skills;

• Excellent English and Arabic. Sudanese dialects and other languages skills are desirable.

• Candidates must have less than one year of professional experience after their graduation by the signing of the Traineeship agreement

Important information to read before applying:

• Before applying you are requested to examine the dedicated website as well as the general eligibility criteria for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 – Paid traineeship).

• Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travels, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.

• Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview.

يقف السودان مجدداً على مفترق طرق خطير. ففي بلدٍ يعاني من تبعات الحرب والعنف منذ أكثر من ثلاث سنوات، يبدو الوضع، للأسف، وكأنه تكرارٌ لما حدث سابقاً. لم نصمت العام الماضي حين شهدنا الفظائع في الفاشر، وها نحن نرفع أصواتنا اليوم لتجنب تكرار مثل هذا الوضع.

بصفتي المفوضة الأوروبية لشؤون المساواة والتأهب وإدارة الأزمات، الحاجة لحبيب، وبصفتي مفوضة الاتحاد الأفريقي لشؤون الصحة والشؤون الإنسانية والتنمية الاجتماعية السفيرة أما أمواه نشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء تفاقم التداعيات الإنسانية للعنف الذي يطال أكثر من 605,000 شخص يعيشون في مدينة الأبيض والمناطق الريفية المحيطة بها في محلية شيخان، فضلاً عن استمرار تجاهل القانون الدولي الإنساني وأبسط مبادئ احترام حياة المدنيين وكرامتهم.

أن تُفاقم الأعمال العدائية المستمرة والهجمات على البنية التحتية المدنية أزمة إنسانية كارثية بالفعل. بالنسبة لأكثر من 563 ألف مدني محاصرين في مدينة الأبيض، بمن فيهم أكثر من 105 آلاف نازح فروا من العنف في أماكن أخرى، ستكون عواقب أي تصعيد إضافي وخيمة، لا سيما على الفئات الأكثر ضعفاً، بمن فيهم النساء والأطفال والنازحون قسراً الجدد والقدامى.

شهدت الأسابيع الأخيرة تصعيداً في الهجمات التي استهدفت محطات الوقود والمستودعات، والأسواق، والمرافق الصحية، والقوافل التجارية، والأحياء السكنية. جميعها تُشكل بنية تحتية مدنية محمية بموجب القانون الدولي الإنساني. يُفيد شركاؤنا في المجال الإنساني بتفاقم نقص الوقود والمياه والكهرباء، في حين أُغلقت المدارس والأسواق والمتاجر والمستودعات الإنسانية في مناطق عديدة، ما أدى إلى انقطاع الخدمات الأساسية عن الأسر.

نشعر بقلق بالغ إزاء التحذيرات من أن هجوماً على الأبيض قد يُؤدي إلى نزوح جماعي ويُعرّض المدنيين لمخاطر جسيمة، بما في ذلك انتهاكات خطيرة للقانون الدولي الإنساني والقانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان. نُجدد تأكيدنا على أن حماية المدنيين ليست أمرًا اختياريًا أبدًا. يجب على جميع الأطراف احترام القانون الدولي الإنساني، في جميع الأوقات والظروف. يجب على قوات الدعم السريع التوقف فورًا عن جميع العمليات العسكرية في مدينة الأبيض ومحيطها التي تُعرّض المدنيين للخطر.

ما هو مطلوب الآن واضح.

نعجز عن الكلام ونحن نشهد كارثة أخرى لحقوق الإنسان كان من الممكن تجنبها تتكشف في الأبيض. وبينما نواصل العمل مع المجتمع الدولي لإيجاد حل سلمي للحرب في السودان، فإن أطراف النزاع هي التي يجب أن تُنفذ قواعد الحرب، وتُحولها إلى واقع ملموس، وتُنقذ الأرواح.

Sudan is once again at a dangerous turning point. In a country that has been suffering the consequences of the war and violence for more than 3 years the situation looks unfortunately already as a deja vu.

We did not stay silent last year when we witnessed the atrocities in El Fasher and we are raising our voices to avoid that a similar situation unfolds again.

As European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, and as African Union Commissioner for Health, Humanitarian Affairs and Social Development, Amb. Amma A. Twum-Amoah, we are deeply alarmed by the escalating humanitarian consequences of the violence affecting more than 605,000 people living in El Obeid town and the surrounding rural areas of Sheikan locality, as well as by the continued disregard for International Humanitarian Law and the most basic principles of respect for civilian life and dignity.

Continued hostilities and attacks on civilian infrastructure are deepening an already devastating humanitarian crisis. For more than 563,000 civilians trapped in the city of El Obeid, including over 105,000 displaced people who have already fled violence elsewhere, the consequences of further escalation would be catastrophic especially for the most vulnerable populations including women, children and new as well as already existing forcibly displaced persons.

Recent weeks have seen intensified attacks affecting fuel stations and depots, market areas, health facilities, commercial convoys, and residential neighbourhoods. They all constitute civilian infrastructure which is protected under International Humanitarian Law (IHL). Humanitarian partners report worsening shortages of fuel, water and electricity, while schools, markets, shops and humanitarian warehouses have closed in many areas, cutting families off from basic goods and services.

We are profoundly worried by warnings that an offensive on El Obeid could trigger mass displacement and expose civilians to grave risks, including serious violations of international humanitarian law and international human rights law.

We raise our voice once again to underline that the protection of civilians must never be treated as optional. International humanitarian law must be respected by all parties, at all times, and in all circumstances. The Rapid Support Forces must immediately cease all military operations in and around El Obeid that put civilians at risks.

What is needed now is clear. First, the fighting must stop. A ceasefire is essential to prevent further civilian suffering and to avoid yet another wave of displacement. Second, humanitarian access must be protected. El Obeid is a critical hub for aid operations across Kordofan, and any disruption to access routes would sever lifelines for hundreds of thousands of people in need of protection, safety and humanitarian assistance. Third, those responsible for violations must be held accountable. Civilians cannot continue to pay the price for impunity.

Humanitarian organisations are doing what they can, including pre-positioning food, medical supplies and cholera response kits in and around El Obeid. But humanitarian action alone cannot keep pace with escalating violence. Urgent support is needed to sustain relief operations and enable rapid response as the situation evolves.

The people of Sudan deserve protection, access to assistance and the hope of peace. The international community must act now to uphold these basic obligations before more lives are lost.

We, on behalf of the EU and the AU, reiterate our call for an immediate ceasefire and unimpeded humanitarian access. All parties to the conflict have a strict legal and moral obligation to adhere to the principles of International Humanitarian Law and to basic humanity. We are at a loss for words as we see another preventable human rights catastrophe unfold in El Obeid.

While we continue to work together with the international community to find a peaceful solution for the war in Sudan, the parties to the conflict are the ones who should enforce the rules of war, transform them into reality and save lives.

استقبل السيد السفير وولفرام فيتر رئيس بعثة الاتحاد الاوروبي في جمهورية السودان السيد السفير معاوية عثمان خالد وكيل وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بجمهورية السودان، والوفد المرافق له، وذلك بمقر بعثة الاتحاد الاوروبي المؤقت بالقاهرة.

تناول الاجتماع نتائج زيارة سفراء الاتحاد الاوروبي الى السودان في يونيو الماضى وناقش قرارات مجلس الاتحاد الاوروبي بشأن السودان الصادرة في اكتوبر 2025.

كما بحث الجانبان القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك بين الاتحاد الاوروبي وجمهورية السودان.

حضر اللقاء عدد من سفراء الاتحاد الاوروبي المعتمدين لدى السودان، حيث قدم السيد الوكيل تنويرا حول تطورات الاوضاع السياسية والأمنية والإنسانية في السودان.

Ambassador Wolfram Vetter, Head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Sudan, received Ambassador Muawiya Osman Khalid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, and his accompanying delegation, at the EU Delegation's office in Cairo.

The meeting addressed the outcomes of the EU Ambassadors' visit to Sudan last June and discussed the EU Council's decisions on Sudan issued in October 2025.

The two sides also discussed issues of common interest to the European Union and the Republic of Sudan.

Several EU Ambassadors accredited to Sudan attended the meeting, during which the Undersecretary provided a briefing on the latest political, security, and humanitarian developments in Sudan.

EU statement: A major military build-up by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) threatens the city which currently shelters 500 000 civilians, including approximately 100 000 displaced persons.

EU Statement: The RSF must immediately cease all military operations in and around El Obeid that put civilians at risks. El Obeid cannot become another El Fasher.

EU Statement: The EU calls on all parties to the conflict to return to negotiations for a lasting ceasefire, to ensure rapid, safe, unimpeded, principled and sustained humanitarian access, to support a Sudanese-led civilian political process leading to the restoration of civilian governance, and to restore and to uphold accountability and respect for international law.

EU Statement: We urge all foreign actors in line with their commitments in the Berlin Principles to immediately end any direct or indirect support which enables and intensifies the conflict to continue.

EU Statement: International humanitarian and human rights laws, including the protection of civilians in particular women and girls and civilian infrastructure, must be fully respected by all parties to the conflict in Sudan.

The EU is deeply alarmed by the escalating violence in El Obeid and calls for an immediate end to attacks threatening civilians and respect for international humanitarian law.

ادان أعضاء البرلمان الأوروبي بأشد العبارات الممكنة جرائم الحرب والجرائم ضد الإنسانية التي ارتكبت في السودان، ولا سيما الفظائع التي تحدث خلال الحصار المستمر لمدينة الأبيض من قبل قوات الدعم السريع.

ادان أعضاء البرلمان الأوروبي أي تدخل أجنبي يغذي الحرب ويطالبون الدول بوقف كل أشكال الدعم لقوات الدعم السريع، وخاصة من خلال توريد الأسلحة.

Members of the European Parliament condemn in the strongest possible terms the war crimes and crimes against humanity committed in Sudan, in particular the atrocities taking place during the ongoing siege of the city of El-Obeid by the RSF.

Members of the European Parliament call on the EU to step up its humanitarian aid to Sudan and provide direct funding to local organisations on the front line, including those in the medical sector.

Members of the European Parliament condemn any foreign interference fuelling the war and demand countries cease all support for the RSF, particularly through the supply of weapons.

الاتحاد الأوروبي يبدأ حوارًا مع القطاع الخاص السوداني

استضافت بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي لجمهورية السودان أول اجتماع لها في القاهرة مع ممثلين عن القطاع الخاص السوداني، وذلك في إطار الجهود المبذولة لتعزيز الحوار السوداني الأوروبي.

ويمثل هذا الاجتماع بداية لسلسلة من الاجتماعات التي ستُعقد في عواصم مختلفة، وتركز على دور القطاع الخاص السوداني في إعادة الإعمار والتنمية وبناء الدولة وتعزيز الاستقرار وخلق فرص عمل للشباب السوداني.

وتحدث السيد ياسين هشام تكفا، نائب رئيس البعثة والقائم بالأعمال الى المشاركين في الاجتماع من القطاع الخاص و قال أن الاتحاد الأوروبي حريص على الاستماع إلى آراء قطاع المال والاعمال بشأن دور الاتحاد الأوروبي في السودان خلال الفترة المقبلة، ويتطلع إلى حوار مثمر مع القطاع الخاص من شأنه أن يؤثر إيجابًا على العلاقات بين السودان والاتحاد الأوروبي.

وأكد السيد ياسين تكفا أن عدم الاستقرار السياسي والأمني، وتقلبات سعر الصرف، وضعف البنية التحتية، والبيروقراطية، وتداخل الرسوم والضرائب، ونقص المعلومات المتاحة للمستثمرين الأوروبيين، والتزام الحكومة بمكافحة الفساد وتعزيز الشفافية، كلها أسباب لهروب رؤوس الأموال الأوروبية.

وأضاف أن هناك جهودًا دولية وإقليمية جارية لتحقيق السلام والانتقال المدني في السودان، وهو أمر أساسي لتطبيع العلاقات. وشدد على أن استمرار الحرب يُعدّ إهدارًا لموارد الشعب السوداني، وأن انهيار السودان ومؤسساته ووحدته يُمثل خطًا أحمر بالنسبة للاتحاد الأوروبي.

وأضاف الدبلوماسي الاوروبي أن الاتحاد الأوروبي يرى ان للقطاع الخاص دورًا محوريًا في التنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية بعد الحرب، باعتباره المحرك الرئيسي للتنمية، وخلق فرص العمل، وجذب الاستثمارات، وتعزيز الابتكار، وتحسين البنية التحتية والخدمات، وبناء شراكات اقتصادية حيوية مع العالم، ورفع مستوى دخل الفرد، وتحسين جودة حياة المواطنين السودانيين.

وستكون مشاركة سيدات الأعمال والشباب أساسية لنجاح هذه المشاريع. وأضاف أن السودان يحتاج إلى السلام والانتقال المدني الحقيقي لإطلاق هذه الفرص غير المستغلة.

European Union commence Dialogue with the Sudanese Private Sector

The European Union Delegation to the Republic of Sudan hosted its first meeting in Cairo with representatives of the Sudanese private sector as part of efforts to strengthen the Sudanese European dialogue. This meeting marks the beginning of a series of meetings to be held in various capitals focusing on the role of the Sudanese private sector in reconstruction, development, state-building, strengthening stability, and creating job opportunities for Sudanese youth.

Yacine Hichem Tekfa, Deputy Head of Delegation and Chargé d'Affaires, told the participants at the meeting that the European Union is keen to hear the views of the financial and business sectors regarding the EU's role in Sudan in the coming period and looks forward to a robust dialogue with the private sector that will positively impact relations between Sudan and the European Union.

Yacine Tekfa emphasized that political and security instability, exchange rate volatility, weak infrastructure, bureaucracy, overlapping fees and taxes, lack of information available to European investors, and the government's commitment to curbing corruption and enhancing transparency are the reasons for the flight of European capital. He added that there are international and regional efforts underway to achieve peace and a civilian transition in Sudan, which is key to normalizing relations. He emphasized that the continuation of the war is a waste of the Sudanese people's resources and that the collapse of Sudan, its state institutions, and its unity is a red line for the European Union.

The Chargé d'Affaires of the EU added that the EU sees a pivotal role for the Sudanese private sector to play in post-war economic and social development, serving as the primary driver for development, job creation, attracting investment, fostering innovation, improving infrastructure and services, building vital economic partnerships with the world, raising per capita income levels, and improving the quality of life for Sudanese citizens. The involvement of women business owners and young people will be key to the success of such ventures.

However, Sudan needs peace and a genuine civilian transition to unlock these untapped opportunities.
