يوم السبت القادم بمركز الجزويت الثقافي بالإسكندرية سيُعرض فيلم " لكي يواجهوا شروق الشمس" والذي يستعرض بعضًا من أوجه الحياة والقصص المؤثرة في المجتمعات الريفية الأيرلندية. يأتي عرض الفيلم، في تمام السادسة مساء، ضمن فعاليات مهرجان الأفلام الأوروبية لعام 2026.

This coming Saturday in Alexandria, you can catch a glimpse of life and drama in Irish rural communities when Jesuit Cultural Center - Alexandria screens "That They May Face The Rising Sun" at 6 pm, as part of the 2026 EU Film Festival.

The Ambassador was honoured to pay a courtesy call on His Eminence, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. They discussed peace in the Middle East, the importance of dialogue and educational exchanges between Ireland and Egypt.

The annual Art Beyond Borders exhibition is running at Cairo Opera House. The theme is “Echoes Across Cultures” and it features the work of Irish artist, Christopher Mahon. We commend ‘Welcome to Egypt’ and the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture for this initiative.

يُقام حاليًا بدار الأوبرا المصرية معرض " فن عابر للحدود" السنوي. تأتي الفكرة الرئيسية لمعرض هذا العام بعنوان" صداه عبر الثقافات" ويُعرض بها عدة أعمال للفنان الأيرلندي كريستوفر ماهون. تُثني السفارة على تلك المبادرة الثقافية، والتي تتم بدعم وزارتي الخارجية والثقافة المصريتين.

Embassy officials recently visited the offices of and met with the Medics Worldwide team in Cairo, gaining an overview of their work and seeing firsthand the mobile maternity clinics destined for Gaza, bought by the Irish fundraisers collective, Gaeil ar Son Gaza. The organisation has recently stationed in Egypt to collaborate with its companies in preparing mobile clinics.

قام فريق عمل من السفارة بتفقد مكاتب جمعية الإغاثة الطبية "ميديكس" بالقاهرة، ولقاء مسئوليها للاطلاع على سير العمل ومشاهدة عيادات الولادة المتنقلة التي أُعدت لإرسالها لقطاع غزة بعد حملة تبرعات شارك فيها شبكة من الأفراد والجمعيات الأيرلندية لدعم أهل غزة. اتخذت الجمعية مقرا لها في مصر في عام ٢٠٢٤ وتتعاون مع الشركات المصرية في إعداد العيادات الطبية المتنقلة.

Today, the world celebrates International Mother Earth Day 🌍, during which our planet clearly issues a call to action to save itself. Ireland is home to many sites shaped by Mother Nature, and it is our duty to protect them.

يحتفل العالم في الثاني والعشرين من إبريل "باليوم الدولي لأمنا الأرض"، حيث يستغيث كوكبنا طلبًا للمساعدة في حمايته. تُعد أيرلندا موطنًا للعديد من المواقع الطبيعية الخلابة التي تشكلت بفعل عوامل الطبيعة والتي وجب علينا حمايتها.

Time to take a look back at our 2026 celebration, with friends and partners, of St. Patrick’s Day.

The celebration coincided with the conclusion of our year-long series of activities and events marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Ireland and Egypt.
