The Industrial Energy Efficiency Project is implemented by the United Nations industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with the Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency as the lead executing partner and in full cooperation with the Industrial Development Authority, the Egyptian Organization for Standardization, the Industrial Modernization Center and the Federation of Egyptian Industries. project seeks to address some of the key barriers to industrial energy efficiency (IEE), to deliver measurable results and to make an impact on how Egyptian industries manage energy through an integrated approach that combines capacity building and technical assistance interventions at the policy, institutional and enterprise level.
تم إطلاق مشروع تحسين كفاءة الطاقة بقطاع الصناعة في يناير/ كانون الثاني عام 2013. ويجري تنفيذ المشروع من جانب منظمة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية الصناعية (منظمة اليونيدو)، بالتنسيق مع جهاز شئون البيئة المصري الذي يضطلع بمهام الشريك التنفيذي الرئيسي، وفي إطار من التعاون الكامل مع الهيئة العامة للتنمية الصناعية، والهيئة المصرية العامة للمواصفات والجودة، ومركز تحديث الصناعة، واتحاد الصناعات المصرية.
يهدف مشروع تحسين كفاءة الطاقة بقطاع الصناعة إلى التغلب مع بعض من الحواجز الرئيسية التي تحول دون تحسين كفاءة الطاقة في قطاع الصناعة، وإلى تحقيق نتائج قابلة للقياس، وإلى إحداث تأثير على أساليب وطُرق إدارة الطاقة من قبل قطاعات الصناعة في مصر عبر توظيف نهج متكامل ينطوي على تدخلات بناء القدرات والمساعدة التقنية على مستوى السياسات والمؤسسات والمنشآت الصناعية على حد سواء.
