The Developing Minds is a non-commercial, non profit making organization established with the motive and vision of betterment, positive change on youth by exploring the solution for indi

vidual and mass problem through the media. The programs created, produced, presented by youth will be to show the right and definite path for the betterment of every individual youth. In our society, there is a lack of mass counseling, discussions of problems and searching for problems with a proper solution. The youth are facing educational, emotional, social and psychological leaders of tomorrow and other problems. It is becoming even more important that the youth of today and the leaders of tomorrow have an access to a community of like minded peers. They will continue to nurture their positive vision of the future. By this concept, we hope to promote the youth vision in a broader sense and encourage creative and positive practices through peaceful minds. So this program interacts with youth and experts scholars of national and international level would influence youth in the way of self realization, personality, mortality development,Positive thinking, education, career development, exposing creativity and inner talent.

حيرت قدرات الضفدع الخشبي العلماء بعد معرفتهم لطريقته في قضاء الشتاء متجمدا ومتوقفا عن التنفس من 7 إلى 8 أشهر، مما دفعهم لدراسته عن قرب.

دراسة ذلك الكائن البرمائي المذهل ستمكنهم من معرفة الكثير عن كيفية نقل الأعضاء وتجميدها دون إتلافها ليستخدمها المرضى المحتاجين لذلك النوع من الجراحات ولإنقاذ الأرواح.

تسلط قدرات ذلك الكائن الضوء على آمال أخرى لمرضى السكري يصعب استيعابها إلا بفهم أكبر للآلية التي يحمي بها نفسه من الصقيع القاتل.

دعنا نسأل أولا، لماذا يبدو الصقيع والتجمد خطيرا على صحة الكائن الحي؟ وماذا يدفعنا إلى اعتبار ضفدع الخشب معجزة بيولوجية من الأساس؟

حسنا، لابد وأن تعلم أن تكون كريستالات الثلج داخل الكائن الحي له القدرة على تمزيق الأوعية الدموية، وحتى إن لم تتمزق الأوعية الدموية، فإن تجمد الدماء يتسبب في فقد الكائن الحي للقدرة على إيصال الأكسجين والغذاء لأعضاء جسده بما يتسبب في تلف أيضي حاد، كما يصيب الثلج الخلايا الحية بالجفاف لسحبه الماء من داخل الخلايا الحية فيضغط المكونات الداخلية للخلية ويدمر الجدار الخلوي بما يدمر الخلايا الحية بشكل كامل.

طور الضفدع وسائل تحميه ل 7 و 8 أشهر في انخفاض درجات حرارة قاسي جدا، ففي بداية الشتاء يملأ الثلج التجويف البطني ويحيط بالأعضاء الداخلية للضفدع ثم تتكون كريستالات الثلج بين طبقات الجلد والعضلات وتتحول العيون لللون الأبيض بسبب تجمد عدسات العين.

أثناء ذلك، ينتج كبد ضفدع الخشب كميات كبيرة من الجلوكوز تنتشر عبر كل خلية حية داخل الجسم، فيمنع هذا المحلول السكري المتكون الخلايا الحية من التجمد من خلال ربطها لجزيئات الماء داخل الخلايا بما يمنع جفافها بالتعرض للصقيع.

يسمح جسد الضفدع بتكون الثلج حول الأعضاء الداخلية وخارج الخلايا بتوازن مذهل يمنع الثلج من دخول الخلايا بما يحميها من التلف، فيبقى الضفدع بلا حركة وبلا نبض وبلا تنفس طوال الشتاء كقطعة ثلجية صلبة لا يبدو عليها مظاهر الحياة.

وعند مجيئ الربيع، يستيقظ الضفدع داخليا فيبدأ قلبه بالنبض ثم ينشط المخ وأخيرا تتحرك الأرجل.

قدرة ذلك الضفدع على تحمل نسب عالية للغاية من السكر في الدم تبلغ 100 ضعف المعدل الطبيعي تفتح الباب أمام استغلال تلك القدرات لتكوين فهم أعمق وحلول أكثر لمرضى السكري من البشر والذي تزيد فيه معدلات السكر في الدم البشري ل 2 وحتى 10 أضعاف المعدل الطبيعي فقط.

يضعنا هذا أمام فرصة عظيمة للاستفادة والتعلم من الطبيعة بمعجزاتها البيولوجية المذهلة والمتنوعة.
