Senior Students at the Faculty of Mass Communication launch a Campaign to Raise Awarness to Cyber Crimes
مشروع تخرج ١٧ طالبة وطالباً بكلية الإعلام جامعة القاهرة "قسم العلاقات العامة والإعلان هو حملة هدفها تعريف مستخدمي مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي بالجرائم الإلكترونية وتوعيتهم بأشكالها، وأيضًا كيفية التعامل معها، وذلك في ظل وجود القانون المصري لمكافحة جرائم الإنترنت وقانون حماية البيانات الشخصية الصادر مؤخرًا في 2020 .
The graduation project of 17 senior students at Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University "Public Relations and Advertising Department", is an awareness campaign. It aims to inform social media users about cybercrime and its various forms, as well as how to deal with it. The campaign comes in light of the Egyptian law to combat internet crime and the personal data protection law issued in 2020.
وقد أوضح القائمون على الحملة سبب اختيار هذا الموضوع، وهو كثرة الجرائم على شبكات الإنترنت وعدم وعي الجمهور بأهمية الوقوف ضدها، وذلك للقضاء عليها ومعاقبة مرتكبيها، خاصة في ظل الظروف التي يمر بها العالم لمواجهة فيروس كورونا، والتي جعلت المواقع الإفتراضية على شبكات الإنترنت عالمًا يتواصل من خلاله الأفراد لمواصلة حياتهم المهنية، التعليمية، والترفيهية، مما قد يؤدي لزيادة نسبة تلك الجرائم.
The students chose this topic due to the large number of cyber crimes and the public’s lack of awareness of the importance of standing against them. The campaign comes at a time of the pandemic where the world is depending heavily on the internet for their jobs, education and entertainment. This led to the increase in the percentage of these crimes, and thus the campaign became important to help to eliminate these crimes and punish the perpetrators.
أطلق الطلاب الحملة من خلال صفحة على "الفيسبوك" باسم حملة "Click Or Trick"، وذلك للوصول لأكبر عدد من مستخدمي الإنترنت، وأيضًا من خلال وجود صفحة على موقع "إنستجرام" و"تويتر"، وقناة على "اليوتيوب"، ليتم من خلالها تناول جميع الجوانب التي تخص الجرائم الإلكترونية بمختلف الطرق ومنها طرق حماية الحسابات الشخصية وطرق للتبيلغ عند التعرض لابتزاز أو تنمر إلكتروني.

The students launched the campaign on a Facebook and Instagram pages titled "Click Or Trick", in order to reach the largest number of Internet users. They also launched a Twitter account and a YouTube channel. On these various social media platforms, they address all aspects related to cybercrime including ways to protect personal accounts, and how to report a cybercrime like blackmail or bullying.
The graduation project is under the supervision of Dr. Hind Muhammad Ali and Dr. Hana Hamdy.
