The Memorial Institute for Ophthalmic Research (MIOR) is pleased to announce its Weekly Residents Lectures, held as part of the continuous medical education program.

This month's sessions will cover important clinical topics in ophthalmology:

These lectures aim to enhance residents’ clinical skills, deepen their understanding of pediatric ophthalmology cases, and support both daily practice and exam preparation.

حوار الأستاذ الدكتور / حازم النشار، عميد معهد الرمد التذكاري، على قناة Extra News، للحديث عن الدور الرائد الذي يقوم به معهد الرمد التذكاري في تقديم أحدث خدمات طب وجراحة العيون، وفق أعلى المعايير الطبية والعلمية.

تناول اللقاء أيضا ملف التبرع بالقرنية و أهمية زراعة القرنية لمريض فقد الأمل في استعادة الإبصار وتحسين جودة الحياة للمرضى، مع توضيح أحدث التقنيات الجراحية المستخدمة، وأسباب ضعف وعتامة القرنية، ودور التشخيص المبكر في زيادة فرص نجاح العلاج و العديد من الموضوعات الأخرى .

Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Hazem El Nashar, Dean of the Memorial Institute for Ophthalmic Research

The Memorial Institute for Ophthalmic Research organized the scientific day “Why Aflibercept 8mg” on Saturday, May 23rd, 2026, at the MIOR Main Hall.

This scientific activity was held in collaboration with leading ophthalmology societies and specialized centers, including:
• Al Mashreq Eye Center
• Al Safwa Laser Vision Center
• Bridge Retina Congress (BRC)
• Middle East Ophthalmology Meeting (MEOM)
• Saudi Ophthalmology Society (SOS)

في ضوء حرص الهيئة العامة للمستشفيات والمعاهد التعليمية على دعم وتطوير المنظومة الصحية، وتنفيذًا لتوجيهات أ.د/ محمد مصطفى عبد الغفار رئيس الهيئة العامة للمستشفيات والمعاهد التعليمية، وفي إطار خطة التطوير المستمرة بالمعهد التذكاري للأبحاث الرمدية،

قام أ.د/ حازم النشار عميد المعهد التذكاري للأبحاث الرمدية، بتفقد اعمال التطوير الجارية بالمعهد وتشمل القسم الداخلي لرفع كفاءة الأقسام الداخلية بالمعهد، للتأكد من جاهزية الأقسام المختلفة وتوفير بيئة علاجية مناسبة وآمنة.

وأكد خلال الجولة على أهمية الاستمرار في رفع كفاءة الخدمات الطبية وتحسين جودة الرعاية الصحية المقدمة للمرضى، بما يساهم في دعم المنظومة العلاجية وتحقيق أفضل مستوى من الخدمة الطبية.

يأتي ذلك في إطار رؤية المعهد للارتقاء بالمنظومة الطبية والتعليمية والبحثية، بما يواكب التطور المستمر في مجال طب وجراحة العيون.

🔹 Basic Phaco Drylab 🔹

The Memorial Institute for Ophthalmic Research (MIOR) is pleased to announce the upcoming Basic Phaco Drylab Session, organized as part of the institute’s continuous surgical training program.

This practical hands-on training is designed to help young ophthalmologists strengthen their foundational phacoemulsification skills in a supervised and well-equipped learning environment, focusing on:
✨ Mastering basic phaco techniques
✨ Enhancing microscope and instrument handling
✨ Improving surgical confidence before live OR experience
