The pile of garden cuttings has been there for many weeks, more like months. Then there's the builders rubble that shouldn't be in the street bins and definitely not dumped on the ground.

The pile of builders rubble on the road was possibly in a street bin but the bin probably broke when being hoisted into the lorry. It's not the bin men's job to clean the roads so who knows how long this mess will be there thanks to an inconsiderate person.

This is the end of the week load of rubbish that has been dumped in with the garden cuttings or skips that the centre can't accept. I always clearly explain the centre can't accept plastic, polystyrene and a few other materials but some people still dump these items in with the garden cuttings or into the skips.

This is why I will have to supervise most people that enter the centre, it's a pity that some people always spoil it for everyone else.

On arrival at the centre please report to the office, materials/items need to be logged and also to find out where your materials/items can be deposited.

You may have visited the centre before and know where materials or items are normally deposited but there are occasions when this may not be the case. For example, if a skip is full the depositing of more materials/items is not normally allowed until the skip has been emptied but you will be instructed at the office to where your materials or items can be deposited.

There is also a constant problem with materials or items being dumped that are not allowed into the centre or being deposited into the incorrect skip. It is the visitors responsibility to ensure materials or items are deposited into the correct skip or site as instructed.

This is the pile of dumped rubbish that I removed from the rubble skip today because I try to keep the centre tidy as the skips are for one material (metal, wood, rubble and cardboard) only. On arrival to the centre I instructed the person that dumped this rubbish politely and clearly to the fact the plastic and polystyrene they had was to be deposited into a street bin because the centre can't accept these materials. Whilst removing this rubbish from the rubble only skip I also found two electric cooling fans, wood, metal, a pair of sunglasses and cardboard which obviously isn't rubble.

There are rules laid down by the Junta de Andalucia that visitors to the centre must abide by which include not dumping rubbish and depositing materials/items into skips that are for one material only. I don't want to enforce the rules but the depositing of items and materials into the wrong skip is a daily occurrence that has to stop because there is no need for this behaviour. I always politely and clearly instruct visitors to the centre what can/can't be deposited at the centre.

The centre is monitored by CCTV that constantly records images/sound 24/7 for security of the centre, myself and visitors, therefore it isn't hard to see who breaks any of the centres rules. I don't worry how I conduct myself because I always treat people with politeness and respect especially at work. Everyone needs to be aware that we are ALL being monitored by the CCTV, so hopefully you can say the same with your conduct, politeness and respect towards me, also the centre.

Mr D of Los Torres, there's no need for you in the future to visit the centre unless you can abide by the rules, it is a recycling centre not a rubbish tip, thank you.

Why is it so hard for some people to understand that nothing is allowed to be left outside the recycling centre when it is closed, this is classed as dumping.
