by Assemble, BC architects & studies & materials and Atelier LUMA
Arles, France
→ The tour, led by the architects, explored the adaptive reuse of the former industrial building and examined how material experimentation and locally sourced bio-based construction systems informed the project. Developed collaboratively by Assemble, BC architects & studies, and Atelier LUMA, Lot 8 reflectes an integrated approach linking design, research, and production. This visit was part of LUMA’s Environmental History program, which brought together historians, scientists, artists, architects, and designers to rethink ecology through historical inquiry.
