To truly honor veterans, each of us in our daily lives must act with honor. We must be impeccable in keeping our promises and keeping our word.
A true patriot would do no less - though there are many 'pretenders' out there. They alone must live with their consciences.
As each of us faces our mortality and looks back on the legacy we leave behind, how shall we be judged? Will the worth of our lives be valued by their length or by the honors we received? For truly, such a legacy is meaningless if we do not live with honor.
Our true Awesome Heroes faced the end of their lives fighting to uphold truth and justice.
