U.K. State Pension payments update.

I have been contacted by people asking about changes to DWP scrutiny of bank accounts and payments to Spanish banks, with some concerns that people will not be able to have Pension and Benefits paid into a none U.K. bank.

Indeed, when I checked online there are a number of social media accounts advising of this change from 1.9.25.

I have just discussed this with an International Pension Centre (IPC) advisor who informed me this is incorrect and there are currently no formal changes planned.

There are proposed changes to the law next year but this relates to giving the DWP more power to check bank accounts and payment details, not for people to confirm their details with the DWP. (Link below).

I will keep in touch with the DWP to monitor any changes.

Should anyone recieve contact from anyone (other than the DWP) about these possible changes, please be very cautious and check with the IPC before making bank account changes.

High rate: £110.40
Disability Living Allowance (Adults) -
Low £29.20. Middle £73.90. High £110.40

New client just advised that they had been approached by another ‘welfare advisor’ offering services to apply for Attendance Allowance.
No problem.
Other than they wanted €300 up front with no guarantee of success or return of fee, weren’t autonimo, or had any qualification in welfare rights.
