Commemoration of the 1st Anniversary of Pakistan’s Victory in Marka-e-Haq
*****
A solemn dignified ceremony to commemorate the 1st anniversary of Pakistan’s victory in Marka-e-Haq in May 2025 against unprovoked aggression by India was held over the weekend at the Pakistan Embassy. The event was attended by the Ambassadors of Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Qatar, Kuwait, Iran; the Defense Attaché of China, the Indonesian DHM, along with Pakistani expats.
Addressing the gathering, the Ambassador of Pakistan stated that the win was a matter of great joy and pride as Pakistan armed forces outperformed the foe due to their superior professionalism, resolve, and preparation despite the numerical superiority of the enemy. India lost the war as well as global standing due to its jingoistic, rash and unjustified aggression.
The Ambassador highlighted that despite the ceasefire, the Indian aggression continues in another form: the suspension of the Indus Water Accord, which is a risky gambit for regional peace. It was further emphasized that India’s continued occupation and subjugation of Kashmiris would need to end to bring peace to South Asia.
