sheikh hussein jibril prophecy
Most of his poems were predictions about the
upcoming rulers of Ethiopia and sociopolitical
situations of the country starting from the times of
Zemene Mesfaent ( Era of the Princes, of 1769) to
the present regime. For one who
knows Ethiopian history well, the prophetic poems hit a
100% right. The poems are colloquial in writing and
double-edged in meaning so they need to be read
between the lines and with a deep knowledge of the
Amharic language, Ethiopian history and religions . For
eg, he terms Christianity as Amara instead of calling
it Christianity and similar kinds of usages.
If anyone can please post a copy of their intact
"branna" scripture please share it or post a link in the

1. ዋርዳው መጣና ቆይ አለኝ አንድ ዓመት
ጫትክን እየበላህ ሳታድር ከሴት
አምሬን እየሞላህ ጠጅን ሳታሸት
ደረሳህን ይዘህ ሳትወጣ ከቤት
እኔም ኸልዋ ገባሁ ቆየሁ አንድ ዓመት::
2. አንድ ዓመት ጫት ቅመን ዓለሙን ስንድር
ንጉሥ እየፈራኝ ሳይጠላኝ አሽከር
ወዲያው ስሜ ታውቆ ሸዋና ሐረር
እኔም በመስታወት ዓይኔን ሳሳምር
ቃሌ ሳይዛነፍ ሳልደናገር::
3. አላህ ሲያሳምረው ሰው እጣው ሲወጣ
ዓመት አስቀመጠኝ ከኸለዋ ሳልወጣ
ወዲያው መናም አየሁ አንበሳ ሲወጣ
ነብር እየመራኝ ጅብ ከፊቴ መጣ
ግመል ተሸክሞኝ የሆነ መላጣ::
4. መናቡ አይቼ ለሰው ሳላወራ
በሰባተኛው ቀን መጣ አንድ ቀብራራ
መሰንቆና ዋሽንት በእጁ ይዞ ጭራ
ከኔ ጋራ አደረ ጫት ሲቅም ሲያወራ
መሰንቆ እየመታ ሲዘፍን ሲያቅራራ::
5. አላህ ሲያሳድገው ነገሩ ሲሰላ
በስምንተኛው ቀን ጫት ስንቅም ስንበላ
ድቤ ተሸክሞ መጣ አንድ ሻንቅላ
ጫት በጨርቅ ይዞ ጠጅ በሸክላ
ሁሴን ቡን አፍላልኝ ነገሩ እንዲሰላ::
6. ስምንት ቀን ከደምኩ ሳትናገር አፌ
የቤቴን ግድግዳ ግንዱን ተደግፌ
ፊቴን እያጠብኩኝ እንዳይመጣ እንቅልፌ
እንዲቀመጡበት ጋቢዬን አንጥፌ
አይገርማችሁም ወይ ሳልነግድ ማትረፌ::

7. መናውን ፈሰርነው አንተ ሳትናገር
ድቤውም ዋሽንቱም መሰንቆው ጭራ አይቀር
ጠጅና ጉማሬ ጫት ስንቅም እንደምር
ጀባ ብለንሃል በዟሂር መነጸር
ሐሲድ የሚመታ አንድ እንኩዋን ሹም ሳይቀር::
8. አላህ ካደረገን የኸልቁ ወዳጅ
በድቤና በጫት ልጀምር በጠጅ::
መሰንቆ እየመታሁ ልወዝወዘው እንጅ
በጭራ በዋሽንት ሰው ባልነካው እጅ
አውሊያ እምጠራበት ሶላት ሳልሰለች::
9. ጫት ባፋችን ይዘን ጠጅ እየጠጣን
ጥቁር ጭራ ይዘን ድቤ እየመታን
ሐሲድ እንዳይነካን አውሊያ እየጠራን
አምስት አውቃት ሶላት እየሰጋገድን
ሰው ያልነካው እቃ ጀሊሉ ሰጠን::
10. መጪውን አየነው ጉድ አጃኢበት
ዓለም ስትስቅብኝ እኔ ሳቅኩባት
ለአዳም መህሉቃት ከወንድም ከሴት
ካለቁት በስተቀር ያሉት በሐያት
ተከትቦ አየዋለሁ ስሙን ወደፊት::
11. ስሙን ይነግረኛል ዋሪዳው ሳይስት
ገና በእናቱ ሆድ ሳኸለቅ ፊት
ለወልይ ለንጉሥ፣ ለራስ መሳፍንት
ምን አስለፈለፈኝ ሊታይ ወደፊት
እኔም በል ብሎኝ ነው የምወሸክት::
12. ሃምሳ ዓመት ስናገር ሰምተው ጉድ እያሉ
እንደ ፍልፈል አፈር ሰው ሲፈለፍሉ
(ሰምተው እንዳልሰሙ አላየንም አሉ
እንደ ፍልፈል አፈር ሰው ሲፈለፍሉ)
እኛም ሰደድናቸው ከአፈር እንዲተሉ
ቀሩ እንደፈራነው ውሸታም እንዳይሉ::
13. ሃምሳ ዓመት ከደመኝ መሐመድ ኑር ዒሳ
መድና ወረቀት ከእጁ ሳይነሣ
ይከትበው ነበረ ዋሪዳው ሲነሣ
የፈረድኩትን አንድ ቀን ሳይረሳ
መጪውን ፈርጃለሁ ዓለም እስቲከሳ::
14. ቃሊቾችም ጠሉኝ ጠጅ ይጠጣል ብለው
ደብተራውም ጠላኝ ሹም ተጠጋው ብሎ
ባለዛሩም ጠላኝ ሰው ሄደበት ብሎ
ፋቅራውም ተጠጋኝ ምን ይፈርዳል ብሎ
እኒህን ችዬ ነው የሰጠኝ ጀሊሉ::

15. ጀግና አጼ ዮሐንስ ያበሶች ወንድም
የዛሬን ማርልኝ ያለ ዛሬ አይለምድም
በነገረ ሠሪ ሰው አይታረድም
እንዲህ ከሆነማ አንድ ስው አይተርፍም
እየደነገጡ ይሄዳሉ የትም::
16. ዓባይ በጣና ላይ መሄዱ ለምን ነው?
ትንሹ ሲያጠፋ ትልቁ ሊችል ነው፣
ቢያከፋም ቢያበጅም ዓባይ ማለፋ ነው
ሰውን በግዴታ የሚገዛው ማነው?
ከምክር በስተቀር የቀረው ከንቱ ነው::
17. ማረዱ ከፋ እንጅ ጀግንነት አያጣም
እስላም እሚያርድ እንጅ እሚወድ አይመጣም፣
የፈራህ ሰው ወጣ እኔ መልስ አላጣም
ይዘገያል እንጅ ሰው የጁን አያጣም
መተማ ከሄደ ተመልሶ አይመጣም::
18. አንተም እድሜህ አጭር ወይ ዘርህ አይገዛ
(ጎርፍ ደርሶ አይወስድም አለቅጥ ካልበዛ)
እንጨት ከደረቀ ቢቀቡት አይወዛ
(ሐበሻ ክፉ ነው አይምሰልህ ዋዛ)
መተማ እስቲጠራህ በብልሃት ግዛ::
19. እመክርህ ነበረ መች እሺ ትላለህ
ሀሳብህ ብዙ ነው መንገድ ታበዛለህ
መተማ ለመዝመት አሁን ትሄዳለህ
(መመልስክን እንጃ እዛው ትቀራለህ)
በድርቡሽ ጎራዴ ራስህን ታጣለህ::
20. አንድ ዓመት ሲቀረው ምኒልክ ሊነግሥ
አላህ መተማ ላይ ይስላል መቀስ
በደም አጨማልቃ የምትቆራርስ
እራስ የምትቆርጥ ያውም የንጉሥ
አንደዜ ተመታች የማታላውስ::
21. አራት ወር ሲቀረው ምኒልክ ሊነግሥ
በመተማ በኩል ትጨሳች ጭስ
ጭሷ በራስ ገብታ (የምታስነጥስ) ትጨርሳለች ጭስ
እጅግም አትበጀው ለአጼ ዮሐንስ
አላህ ሽቶበታል አንገቱን ሊቀምስ::
22. እውቀትም የላቸው አሉን ጥንብ እርኩስ
ብለው ሰደቡን ደብተራና ቄስ
ሄጄ ልናገረው ለአጼ ዮሐንስ
ፈርጀለት ነበር መቅደላ ሲፈርስ
እንዴት የነቢ አሽከር ይሆናል እርኩስ?

23. የሰማም ያልሰማም ያልቅስ
መች እኔ እፈራለሁ ደብተራና ቄስ
መተማን ድል አድርጎ እሱ ቢመለስ
እንግዲህ የኔ ጫት ጥንብ ናት እርኩስ?
መተማ ካልሄደ እኔም ጫት አልቀምስ::
24. ጦሩን አስከትሎ መተማ ሲደርስ
ከበቅሎው ወረደ አጼ ዮሐንስ
የጦሩን መከታ ጋሻውን ሊለብስ
እሱ እራሱን አጥቶ ሰውን ሊያስጨርስ
በጥረት አይድንም ጥፋ ያለው ነፍስ::
25. እንዴት በገዛ እጁ ሞት ይመኛል ሰው?
መተማ አትሂድ ብዬ ብመክረው
መቸ ይመለሳል ያዘዘበት ሰው
(ደም እየሸተተው ሞት እየጠራው
እንዴት ሰው ለአንገቱ አያዝንም ወይ ሰው)
26. ፈረሱን ጫጭነው ድርቡሾች ዘለቁ
ኸሊፋና ዑመር ድባጢን ዘለቁ
ከዚያም ከዚህ ያሉት ተደበላለቁ
ዮሐንስ ከጭፍራው ፈርተው ተጨነቁ
የሚያስታርቅ ጠፍቶ ስንት ሰው አለቁ::
27. የአህያ ልጅ በቅሎ በብር ተሸልማ
ዮሐንስን ይዛ ወረደች መተማ
ከጌታዋ ራስ ጋር በቁም ልትቀማ
ስንቱን ሰው ፈረጀው ደጉ አገር መተማ
ስንቱን አርዶት ነበር እስላም እንዳይለማ::
28. ምኒልክ ደስ አለው ምጡን ሲፈረጅ
እኔም ጫት በመቃም ነጀ ወጣሁ እንጅ
እስላምን የሚወድ ወደፊት ይምጣ እንጅ
ዮሐንስ ክፉ ነው የለውም ወዳጅ
መተማ ደጉ አገር ገላገለን እንጅ::
አላህ ገላገለን በዟሂር መከራ
እንግዲህ ምኒልክ አይዞህ እንዳትፈራ
ዮሐንስ ሊሄድ ነው ጦሩን እየመራ
ማረድ የለመደ መቼም ሞት አይፈራ::
ሞቱ ብላሽ ሆነ እንዲህ ሲንጠራራ::
29. አንተም ጨካኝ ነበርክ ጨካኝ ወረደብህ
እንደ ፍሪዳ ላም በቁምህ አረዱህ
በቅሎና ገጧ ጋር በቁሟ ማረኩህ
እራስክን ቋንጣ አርገው ሥዕል አደረጉህ
አላፊው አግዳሚው እንዲሰደድብህ::

30. አልሐምዱሊላሂ ለዚህ አበቃህ
ዮሐንስ እራስህን በችንካር መቱህ
አላፊው አግዳሚው እስቲተፋብህ
ሰው የጁን አያጣም እንዲህ አረጉህ
የወሎን መሻኢህ እያረድክ ሰቅለህ::
31. አጠቋቆራቸው ከሰል ይመስላሉ
ከመሕሉቁ ብሰው በጣም ይጠቁራሉ
መተማን ድል አርገው ጎንደር ይገባሉ
ደቆራና ዳይንት ብዙ ሰው ያርዳሉ
ከሺህ ታቦት በላይ በእሳት ያነዳሉ::
32. ማረድ ተጀምሮ ድራና ፎገራ
ምን ይበጀው ይሆን የጎንደር አማራ?
አይተኸው የማታውቅ መጣብህ መከራ
ብዙ ሰው ይጠፋል ካልሰለመ አማራ
ይለበልበዋል ያርደዋል በካራ::
33. ወደ ሱዳን አገር ዋሪዳው ካመራ
ደፈረኝ ካልሉ ሳዳቶችን ልጥራ
አሁን ድረሱልኝ ይዞኛል ደብተራ
ወትሮም የመሐዲ ዘር አስላችሁ አይኮራ
ገላገላችሁኝ አልቅሼ ብጣራ::
34. ቢደፍሯቸው እዳ ዝም ብል ችግር
ዋሪዳው መጣና አለኝ ተናገር፣
እንግሊዝ ከሱዳን ካልለቀቀ አገር
ይዘገያል እንጅ ኋላ አለ ነገር
መሕዲ ዘር ባለቃ ሲል ደንገር ደንገር::
ሱዳን ብሎ ማለት ተፍሲሩ ሻንቅላ
(ከነሱ ካልሆነ አይጋቡም ሌላ
መጠጥ ይወዳሉ ሐራራም አይጠላ)
ዘራቸው ልዩ ነው ናቸው የአላህ ሰባት በላ
ሰባት ቋንቋ አላቸው ሁሉም በጠቅላላ::
35. የሱዳንን ነገር በስንቱ ላውሳቸው
ካላስፈነደዱ ፈርጅም አይመስላቸው
ከእኛም ሰው አይተፋ ነጭ ያስተማራቸው
የወንዱስ መላ አልቋል ሴቱ አላህ ያብጀው
ስንቡል እያጠበች ገልባ ከሰጠችው::
36. ድርቡሽና ሱዳን መልካቸው ጥቁር ነው
አገሩ አንድ ቢሆን ቋንቋው እየቅል ነው
ጥንቱም ፍጥረታቸው ዘራቸው ልዩ ነው
በዟሂር ሲጠሩ ስማቸው እስላም ነው
ቸርነት አያጡም እጃቸው ለጋስ ነው::
37. ድርቡሽ ጥሩ እስላም ልባቸው የጠራ

If a man suffering from poverty and starvation repeats this Name frequently or keeps it with him written on a piece of paper or repeats this Name 40 times in the last Sajda if the Chasht prayer, Allah will relieve him of his poverty, want and starvation in a wonderful way.

The Ocean
The Quran uses imagery to covey its deep
meanings, here it describes the state of the
unbelievers as:
“Darkness out in a deep ocean which is covered by
waves, above which are waves, above which are
clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other.
When one puts out his hand [therein], he can hardly
see it. Those God gives no light to, they have no
light.” (Quran 24:40)
It is commonly thought that waves only occur on
the surface of the ocean. However oceanographers
have discovered that there are internal waves that
take place below the surface of the ocean. These
waves are invisible to the human eye, and can only
be detected by specialist equipment [8] . The Quran
mentions darkness in a deep ocean above which
are waves, above which are waves, then clouds
above that. This description is not only remarkable
because it describes the internal waves in the
ocean, but also because it describes darkness deep
in the ocean. A human being can dive no more than
70 metres without breathing equipment. Light is
present at that depth, but if we go down 1000
metres it is completely dark [9] . 1400 years ago
there were no submarines or specialist equipment
to discover internal waves or the darkness deep
inside the oceans.

Sun’s Orbit
In 1512 the astronomer Nicholas Copernicus put
forward his theory that the Sun is motionless at the
centre of the solar system, and that the planets
revolve around it. The belief that the Sun is
stationary was widespread amongst astronomers
until the 20th century. It is now a well-established
scientific fact that the Sun is not stationary, but is
moving in an orbit around the centre of our Milky
Way galaxy [7] .
The Quran mentions the orbit of the Sun:
“It is He who created night and day, the Sun and the
Moon, each floating in its orbit.” (Quran 21:33)
The Quran would have been wrong according to
astronomers just a couple of decades ago. But we
now know that the Quranic account of the Sun’s
motion is consistent with modern Astronomy.

Expansion of the Universe
At a time when the science of Astronomy was still
primitive, the expansion of the universe was
described in Quran:
“And it is We who have built the Universe with [Our
creative] power and keep expanding it.” (Quran
51:47)
The fact that the universe is expanding was
discovered in the last century. The physicist
Stephen Hawking in his book ‘A Brief History of
Time’ writes, “The discovery that the universe is
expanding was one of the great intellectual
revolutions of the 20th century.”.
The Quran mentioned the expansion of the universe
even before the invention of the telescope!

Mountains
The Quran draws our attention to a very important
characteristic of mountains:
“Did We not make the earth a resting place? And the
mountains as stakes?” (Quran 78:6-7)
The Quran indicates that mountains have deep
roots by using the word stakes to describe them. In
fact mountains do have deep roots, and the word
stakes is an accurate description for them. A book
titled ‘Earth’ by Geophysicist Frank Press explains
that mountains are like stakes, and are buried deep
under the surface of the earth. Mount Everest
(pictured below), the height of which is
approximately 9 km above ground, has a root
deeper than 125 km.
The fact that mountains have deep ‘stake’ like roots
was not known, until after the development of the
theory of plate tectonics in the beginning of the
20th century. [6]

3. Sky’s Protection
The sky plays a crucial role in protecting the earth.
The sky protects the earth from the lethal rays of
the sun. If the sky did not exist then the sun’s
radiation would have killed off all life on earth. It
also acts like a blanket wrapped around the earth,
to protect it from the freezing cold of space. The
temperature just above the sky is approximately
-270oC. If this temperature was to reach earth
then the planet would freeze over instantly. The sky
also protects life on earth by warming the surface
through heat retention (greenhouse effect), and
reducing temperature extremes between day and
night [5] . These are some of the many protective
functions of the sky.
The Quran asks us to consider the sky in the
following verse:
“We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they
are turning away from Our signs!” (Quran 21:32)
The Quran points to the sky’s protection as a sign
of God. The protective properties of the sky were
discovered by scientific research conducted in the
20th century.

2. Iron
Iron is not natural to the earth. It did not form on
the earth but came down to earth from outer
space. This may sound strange but it’s true.
Scientists have found that billions of years ago the
earth was stuck by meteorites. These meteorites
were carrying Iron from distant stars which had
exploded [4] .
The Quran says the following on the origin of Iron:
“We sent down Iron with its great inherent strength
and its many benefits for humankind.” (Quran
57:25)

1. Origin of Life
Water is essential for all living things. We all know
that water is vital to life but the Quran makes a very
unusual claim:
We made every living thing from water? Will they
not believe? (Quran 21:30)
