MSD has hosted the top level management visit of the Freedom Fund on August 4, 2020 in its head office. Focus of the visit were:

· Brief presentation about the organizational profile/ progress of Nigat project by the MSD Team
· Discussion on the modality of partnership and key expectations by the FFE Team

MSD would like to thank for the fruitful discussion it had with the guests from the Freedom Fund Ethiopia office and for their usual support.

MSD has got an elevate grant from the Freedom Fund which is the first of its kind to receive in the history of the organization. The management members of MSD would like to express their health felt gratitude for the Freedom Fund for the grant which aims at organizational capacity building and sustainability

“All the Children of the World are our Children” Pr. Herman Gmeiner

Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development has launched the “Ending the exploitation of Child Domestic Workers in Ethiopia- NIGAT '' project on July 26, 2022 to implement it at wereda 4 and 7 of Gullele Sub city, Addis Ababa.

The project aims at increasing the attitudes and behaviours towards child domestic workers (CDWs) through engagement of employers and employers’ children, strengthening and accountable stakeholders at woreda level on the mechanisms to protect CDWs and championing child leadership to voice out and inform CDWs issues in the programming and advocacy.

MSD would like to thank the Freedom Fund for its financial and technical support.

Mahibere-Hiwot for Social development is conducting a nine months progress review meeting of its Family Focused HIV Prevention Care and Treatment Services Addis Ababa Project in Adama town, Robi Hotel with the involvement of Senior Management team, Key project staff and Social Service providers. The review meeting will be held from 23-24 July 2022.

“ጤናችን ለህልውናችን”በሚል በህልውና ዘመቻ የውቅና አሰጣጥ መድረክ በአማራ ክልላዊመንግስት ጤና ቢሮ አዘጋጅነት በባህርዳር ርዕሰ መስተዳደር አዳራሽ በዛሬው እለት ተካሂዶአል::በዚህ የእውቅና አሰጣጥ ፕሮግራም ላይ ከፌደራል እስከወረዳ ያሉ ከፍተኛ የመንግስት መራሮች: ዩኒቨርስቲዎች: የግል ድርጅቶች: የጤና ጥበቃሰራተኞች ና ባለሞያዎች: የጤናው ዘርፍ አጋር ድርጅቶች (ፖርትነሮች) ተገኝተዋል ::በህልና ዘመቻው ወቅት የጤና ስርአቱን በማገዝና በማጠናከር ረገድ ድጋፍ ካደረጉ የሲቪል ማህበረሰብ ድርጅንቶች መካከል ማህበረ ህይወት ፎር ሶሻል ደቨሎፕመንት የተሰኘው ድርጅታችን በዛሬው እለት የድርጅቱ ዋና ዳይሬክተር አቶ ጥላዬ ግዛቸው ከአማራ ክልል ጤና ጥበቃ ቢሮ ሃላፊ ዶ/ር መልካሙ አብቴ እጅ የእውቅና የምስጋና ሰርተፊኬት ተቀብለዋል:: በዚህ አጋጣሚ ድርጅታችን ለተደረገለት ምስጋና እያቀረበ በክልሉ የጤና ስርአቱን ለማገዝ የሚያደርገውን ጥረት አጠናክሮ እንደሚቀጥል ቃል ይገባል::

Mahibere Hiwot for Social Development (MSD) has signed a project agreement with Management Agency (MA) under Ethiopian Social Accountability Program (ESAP3)Funded by the World Bank.The project with the title ‘Fostering Social Accountability for Improved Basic Service Delivery’ will be implemented with the overall objective of supporting and strengthening social accountability system and mechanisms for enhanced service delivery in Amhara National Regional State. The project will be implemented for the coming 15 months in 43 woredas/towns of Amhara region located in North, West and Central Gondar, North Wollo, South Wollo, North Shewa and Oromia zones. The project has over ETB31 million.

The Board of Directors of MSD conducted annual meeting at Golden Tulip Hotel by March 26,2022. The board evaluated and approved the 2021 Annual report,2021 External Audit report, 2022 Oprational plan and the New five year strategic plan (2022–2026).

Emergency Nutrition and Hygiene Support
Mahiberehiwot for Social Development (MSD) has provided emergency nutrition and hygiene support to its beneficiaries based at Nefas-Mewcha town South Gondar zone which has been one of the most affected areas by recently occurred war in the region. A total of 494 care givers and 752 OVC have been targeted by the support. Each care giver has been provided with 25kg wheat flour, 2litrs of food oil and 3 pieces of laundry soap. Besides, 440 households have been benefited from Community Based Health Insurance (CBHI) each with 450 birr that makes the support 198,000 birr. A total of 934 households and 752 OVC have been benefited from the emergency support with 905,239.86 birr both in kind and in cash.
