CONDEMNATION LETTER
Lham Bhang Community Worldwide
Date: 4th March 2026
The Lham Bhang Community Worldwide expresses its deepest sorrow, profound grief, and unequivocal condemnation regarding the unlawful and heinous killing of two young men from Lham Bhang Community in Mathdeng on the night of 3rd March 2026 by unknown gunmen whose cowardly actions have once again stained our land with the blood of innocent civilians.
We strongly denounce this barbaric act carried out against unarmed, noncombatant civilians who were neither engaged in hostilities nor aligned as active participants in the ongoing political and military tensions, and we categorically reject the dangerous and unjustifiable narrative that seeks to equate individual political alignment or defection with collective community responsibility, which continues to expose innocent mothers, children, and neutral civilians to unnecessary retaliation, intimidation, and targeted violence.
It is deeply troubling that in a time when our people have already suffered immense loss due to prolonged conflict, certain individuals choose to perpetuate cycles of revenge and collective punishment, ignoring the fundamental distinction that must exist between politicians, armed actors, and ordinary civilians who desire nothing more than peaceful coexistence and stability within their ancestral lands.
We wish to clearly state that the recent defections of some individuals to Sudan People's Liberation Movement – In Government did not begin yesterday, nor were they orchestrated by the broader Lham Bhang community, and those who chose their political paths did so as individuals, leaving behind communities that have continued to live peacefully among neighboring communities without hostility or provocation.
The continued targeting of entire communities based on the decisions of a few individuals is morally indefensible, legally unjustifiable, and socially destructive, as it undermines prospect
