As per the recent error in communication that resulted in the unexpected acquisition of three NGO vehicles in Walgak, Akobo County by some armed individuals who faked a document in the name of Sector 3 CDR, Maj. Gen. John Luk, the SPLA-IO Acting Chief of General Staffs, Lt. Gen. Peter Thok Chuol Lual would like to inform all the concerned and the affected parties that this incident was regrettable and will be rectified expeditiously with anyone found culpable held to account.

As stated numerous times, the SPLA-IO take civilian protection – which includes all the courageous NGOs and their staff operating and working in our areas of control, very seriously.
