The Renewed Public Mandate and Upcoming Key Priorities
The renewed democratic mandate conferred upon the Prosperity Party by the sovereign people of Ethiopia in the 7th General Election represents a historic vote of confidence. It is a solemn political trust that obligates us to advance our transformative national agenda. As a party, this multifaceted victory is not a reason for complacency, but a reminder of our responsibility to work diligently by prioritizing actions that tangibly transform our citizens' daily lives and fulfill their aspirations for development and better living conditions.
During the tenure of the new administration taking office this coming September, priority and concentrated effort will be given to major initiatives designed to improve livelihoods and accelerate national growth. Key focal areas center on ensuring food sovereignty and modernizing agriculture through cluster farming and technological inputs, alongside strengthening industrial foundations by enhancing renewable energy capacity, natural gas, and nuclear power projects. Furthermore, the party will focus on scaling the encouraging urban infrastructure and corridor development practices established in Addis Ababa to all regional cities, leveraging digital technologies broadly to curb corruption while delivering efficient public services, and establishing lasting political and social stability supported by the successful National Dialogue process.
These operational pillars constitute the foundational agenda for the incoming government administration. This strategic framework directly reflects the core resolutions codified in the official declaration of our Party's 2nd Regular Congress held January 31 – February 2, 2025: "Achieving our economic prosperity goals by enhancing national capacity, fostering new sectors, and building a creative economy." Through disciplined ex*****on, the decision to fortify national capacity will be translated into measurable, transformative outcomes for every citizen.
The guiding philosophy of this era remains Medemer; the ideological compass driving collective progress. Translating these strategic imperatives into reality demands active participation in national wealth creation, sustained political maturity, and unwavering civic dedication from all Ethiopians. On the international stage, regional bodies, strategic global partners, and international institutions increasingly recognize the institutional maturity, ideological clarity, and policy efficacy of the Prosperity Party. The success of our integrated developmental and diplomatic initiatives has positioned Ethiopia as an influential force in global governance.
Our destination remains resolute; establishing Ethiopia as an African Beacon of Prosperity by 2030. Grounded in popular sovereignty and guided by the principles of Medemer, the incoming administration will execute this vision with absolute fidelity. The Prosperity Party remains steadfast in heeding the public will, overcoming structural challenges, and delivering Ethiopia’s comprehensive resurgence.
