Today, the EU Delegation and the of Foreign Affairs (IFA) exchanged views on Global Gateway and its potential to complement Ethiopia’s Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda, in a spirit of partnership grounded in shared priorities and mutual ambition.

From infrastructure and digitalisation to energy, education and people-to-people links, is about building lasting partnerships that deliver real opportunities for people.

🤝 The dialogue, “Strategic Partnerships for Transformation: the EU Global Gateway and Ethiopia’s Homegrown Economic Reform Agenda”, offered a valuable opportunity to listen, reflect and explore how we can work together towards a more connected, resilient and prosperous future.

The EU Delegation to Ethiopia was honoured to attend the Commemoration of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances, organized by the Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights, the Human Rights Commission, and the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances.

The EU stands in solidarity with victims and their families in their pursuit of truth, justice, and accountability.

🚑 Timely healthcare can save lives.
Two new ambulances are now strengthening emergency healthcare in Ethiopia’s Somali Region.
The European Union together with have handed over two ambulances to the Somali Regional State Health Bureau under the Advancing Refugee Inclusion in Somali Region (ARISR) project.
The ambulances will strengthen emergency care at Kebribeyah Hospital, helping refugees and host communities access essential, potentially life-saving healthcare when they need it most.
This is just one way the EU is supporting inclusive services and opportunities for refugees and host communities in the Somali Region.
