I am fundraising to support the amazing work that Miyir Hospital, community lead mental health hospital. It is based in Ethiopia, they have the building and the staff but they are in need of funding to ensure they can meet the needs of the community. Many of the patients suffer from stigma and mistreatment because of their mental illness. This hospital creates a safe environment for them to get th
e required treatment to have a better quality of life. You can see images below of the facilities we have managed to raise money to build already. The hospital looks very beautiful, but if we are not constantly able to support the healthcare professional provide essential medication, pay their wages and keep the hospital clean and safe; many of the patients will have to go back to living in their old conditions.You will see the pictures we have of patients before we opened the hospital.
