Ambassador Jaewoong Lee had a meeting on Friday, September 4, with Hyunkwon Kim, Chairperson of the High-level Radioactive Waste Management Commission, and members of the delegation. During the meeting, they exchanged views on Finland’s high-level radioactive waste management policy as well as the operation of a final disposal facility, and measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Korea and Finland in this field.

국가기록원 성남분원에서는 우리나라의 우수한 기록 전통을 소개하고 기록문화의 중요성을 공유하기 위해, 2026년 「우리 모두의 기록문화 프로그램」을 운영할 계획입니다.

이재웅 대사는 8.26.(수) 알렉산더 스툽 핀란드 대통령께 신임장을 제정했습니다.
이 대사는 한-핀란드 협력 강화를 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다고 밝혔고, 스툽 대통령은 이 대사의 부임을 환영하며 양국 관계 발전을 위한 이 대사의 적극적인 역할을 기대한다고 전했습니다.

'신임장 제정'은 새로 부임한 대사가 접수국(핀란드)의 국가원수에게 파견국(한국) 국가원수가 수여한 신임장을 직접 전달하고 대사로서 임무를 시작하는 절차입니다.

Ambassador Lee expressed his commitment to making every effort to strengthen Korea-Finland cooperation. President Stubb warmly welcomed Ambassador Lee and expressed his expectation for the Ambassador's active role in advancing bilateral relations.

The 'presentation of credentials' is a formal procedure in which a newly appointed ambassador delivers credentials granted by the head of state of the sending country to the head of state of the receiving country, officially marking the start of their diplomatic mission.
