25 years ago, the world was shaken by the horrific terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, which claimed the lives of more than 2,900 people.
Today, we remember all those who were killed and stand with the families, loved ones, and communities affected by that tragic day.
Their memory lives on. We stand united against terrorism and hatred.

Education is a basic right. Children should be able to go to school without fear, develop their skills and interests, meet their friends, and make plans for the future.
But for Ukrainian children, going to school has become a daily challenge because of Russia’s full-scale war.
On the International Day to Protect Education from Attack, we draw attention to the damage Russia’s aggression has caused to Ukraine’s education. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, 4,650 education facilities have been damaged by Russian attacks, and 423 have been completely destroyed.
The damage goes far beyond buildings – Russia’s war creates ongoing challenges for children’s access to education and their safety.
Russian terror against Ukrainian civilians must stop. The aggressor must be brought to justice.

Today, a Russian attack drone hit the building of the We Are Ukraine TV channel in broad daylight – while journalists were live on air. At least five people have been injured. The building was partially destroyed.
Russia has taken its attacks on media to a new level, using “Shaheds” to target journalists while they were working. The world must not ignore this. Russian terror must be stopped through united international actions.

За ініціативи Посольства України у Фінляндії проведено першу онлайн зустріч між керівництвом Полтавської області та фінського регіону Кюменлааксо, яка поклала початок розвитку співробітництва між Полтавщиною та цим фінським регіоном.
У ході зустрічі Голова Полтавської обласної ради Олександр Біленький та заступник начальника Полтавської обласної військової адміністрації Євген Кончаковський представили Полтавську область, її спроможності, потреби та перспективи розвитку.
З свого боку, Регіональний мер Кюменлааксо Анна-Ріікка Каргунен поінформувала про особливості фінського регіону, повноваження регіональної адміністрації та пропозиції розвитку міжрегіонального співробітництва.
Детально обговорили подальші кроки взаємодії між Полтавщиною і Кюменлааксо, можливості надання допомоги Україні, а також шляхи розширення комунікації.
Продовжуємо розвивати міжрегіональну співпрацю між Україною і Фінляндією.

At the initiative of the Embassy of Ukraine in Finland, the first online meeting between the leadership of the Poltava region and the Finnish region of Kymenlaakso was held, which marked the beginning of the development of cooperation between the Poltava region and this Finnish region.
During the meeting, the Head of the Poltava Regional Council Oleksandr Bilenkyi and the Deputy Head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration Yevhen Konchakovskyi presented the Poltava region, its capabilities, needs and development prospects.
For her part, the Regional Mayor of Kymenlaakso Anna-Riikka Kargunen informed about the peculiarities of the Finnish region, the powers of the regional administration and proposals for the development of interregional cooperation.
We discussed in detail further steps of interaction between the Poltava region and Kymenlaakso, the possibilities of providing assistance to Ukraine, as well as ways to expand communication.
We continue to develop interregional cooperation between Ukraine and Finland.
