9 мая 2025 года в ознаменование 80-летия Победы в Великой Отечественной войне Временный поверенный в делах Республики Беларусь в Финляндской Республике Екатерина Климова совместно с Чрезвычайным и Полномочным Послом Российской Федерации в Финляндской Республике Павлом Кузнецовым и Чрезвычайным и Полномочным Послом Республики Казахстан в Финляндской Республике Азаматом Абдраимовым возложили цветы к военному мемориалу – братской могиле на полуострове Ханко, Финляндия.

🕯 26 апреля 1986 мир потрясла страшная трагедия: взрыв на Чернобыльской АЭС. Эта авария стала самой крупной техногенной катастрофой за всю историю атомной энергетики. В результате взрыва в атмосферу были выброшены большие объёмы радиоактивных веществ, которые затем распространились по западной части СССР и части Европы.

Для Беларуси катастрофа на Чернобыльской АЭС имеет особое значение. От последствий аварии пострадала значительная часть территорий, что привело к переселению и нарушению нормального уклада жизни сотен тысяч белорусов.

✅ Начиная с 1990 года, в республике реализовано пять Государственных программ по преодолению последствий катастрофы на Чернобыльской АЭС.

❗️ Символичным является провозглашение Генеральной Ассамблеей Организации Объединенных Наций в ходе своей семьдесят первой сессии при поддержке 60 государств – членов Организации 26 апреля Международным днем памяти о чернобыльской катастрофе.

🕯 On April 26, 1986, the world was shocked by a terrible tragedy: an explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. This accident was the largest man-made disaster in the history of nuclear power. As a result of the explosion, large volumes of radioactive substances were released into the atmosphere, which then spread throughout the western part of the USSR and parts of Europe.

The Chernobyl disaster is of particular importance for Belarus. A significant part of the territories suffered from the consequences of the accident, which led to the resettlement and disruption of the normal way of life of hundreds of thousands of belarusians.

✅Since 1990 in the republic have been implemented five State programs to overcome the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster.

❗️ The proclamation by the General Assembly of the United Nations is symbolic during seventy–first session with the support of 60 Member States of the Organization on April 26 as International Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day.

The Republic of Belarus welcomes the Russian initiative to declare a humanitarian pause in the conflict zone.

This step is particularly significant given its symbolic meaning on the eve of the Easter, which is equally honoured by the three brotherly nations of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine as a time of peace, humanism and renewal.

We hope that the ceasefire will be a step towards de-escalation of tensions and will make possible diplomatic settlement.

(English ⬇️) Республика Беларусь приветствует российскую инициативу объявления гуманитарной паузы в зоне конфликта.

Особую значимость этому шагу придаёт его символичность в преддверии праздника Пасхи, который в равной мере почитается тремя братскими народами — Беларуси, России и Украины — как время мира, гуманизма и обновления.

Надеемся, что перемирие станет шагом для деэскалации напряжённости и позволит перейти к дипломатическому урегулированию.

“Foreign Ministry spokesman Ruslan Varankou commented on Latvia's plans to build a nuclear power plant:

Another example of inconsistent and short-sighted policy of our Baltic neighbors. We remember very well how recently, in 2009, the second and last unit of Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant in Lithuania was shut down - by a decision taken to please the EU and under its pressure. By the way, the estimated cost of shutting down the plant will exceed 3 billion euros.

It seemed that just yesterday the entire Europe was ready to jointly shut down nuclear power plants and not to build new reactors. They expected to live on wind power and cheap American shale gas. But the reality turned out to be harsher. Wind energy is not enough to meet basic needs, and the Americans explicitly offered Europe to sign a binding trade agreement for shale gas. And gas from overseas turned out to be not cheap at all, taking into account transportation in liquefied form across the ocean and regasification.

Check out the hybrid war that Vilnius has launched against Belarus!

They track every fallen brick at the construction site, every scheduled shutdown at the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant in Ostrovets.

And now they will convince their taxpayers that it is cheaper to build and maintain low-power plants at home for billions of Euros and to have problems with the consumption of the entire generated volume of electricity. Its cost will not be low, even if it is distributed to the Baltic republics, because there have long been no large consumers there in the form of steel mills, foundries or cement plants.

In any case, these costs through tariffs and taxes will again fall on ordinary citizens, the poor, etc.

Anyway, we expect that the Latvian side will strictly comply with international legal requirements, including the Espoo Convention, which provides for public discussions of potentially dangerous projects in the country and in neighboring countries.

Khatyn is an unhealing scar on the heart of Belarus. On the map of our country there are thousands of towns and villages destroyed by the German invaders and their accomplices during the Great Patriotic War. Almost 300 of them shared the fate of Khatyn - they were burned down together with all the inhabitants and were never restored after the war.

On this day we pay tribute to the unfulfilled dreams of millions of our compatriots, to the children who never became adults, to all those killed and tortured, burned and shot.

Belarusian diplomats, representatives of the diaspora and friends of Belarus all over the world remember Belarusian villages, destroyed together with their inhabitants. We remember. We honor. We Protect.

2. Create a personal account;
3. Fill in the application form in the section "Issuance of electronic visas" (link in 1️⃣ comment);
4. Pay the consular fee as well as the service fee of 6 euros;
5. Wait 7 calendar days and get your E-visa 😎

You can enter with the E-visa through any international border crossing point.

All visa-free regimes are still valid!
