The St. Olavs chapel in Kirjais, Nagu is completed, open and will be officially inaugurated on St. Olav's Day 29th of this month. The village association "Kirjais- och Sommaröbygdens utveckling r.f." is behind the financing and build of the wonderful chapel.

The chapel is a village meeting room, space for small cultural events and a "place of rest for modern pilgrims"

The section over the Island of Pensar to Kirjais and onwards to Nagu village is one of our favourites, which is yours?

Kirstin and her dog Skipper are currently walking from Turku to Trondheim, a huge feat of 1200km. Midsummer is a special time for walking the trail. Many thanks to Sirpa for letting us share her story. She is planning to complete the whole 1200km trail in sections, a perfect plan.
Juhannusviikonloppu on nyt kuljettu Pyhän Olavin merireitillä kauniissa saaristossamme. Aloitimme Nauvon saarelta, jonne olimme aiemmin jo kävelleet. Viime yö oltiin Sottungan saarella ja tänään jatketaan matkaa Ahvenanmaan pääsaarelle. Tavoitteena on kävellä tämä reitti loppuun Eckeröön.
Ehkä matka jatkuu vielä jonain päivänä kohti Trondheimiä.

Follow the signs! 🧭🤠🥾

Great news for all St. Olav Waterway pilgrims: the trail has been updated in terms of wayfinding through signpostings all the way up to Galtby (Korpo)!

Our dedicated project worker Leonie recently walked the route from Turku through Kaarina, Pargas, and Nagu to Korpo, checking and refreshing the St. Olav signs and logos along the way. Thanks to her efforts, the trail now offers both quality and quantity when it comes to clear wayfinding.

So lace up your boots and follow the freshly marked path through the archipelago! 💙
