Touch Wood is a group of individuals passionate about creating an interactive wooden toy museum in Finland where children can touch, feel and play with wooden toys from Finland and elsewhere! We organize events in Finland with wooden toys that are interactive, inclusive, sustainable, educational, relaxing and fun for all generations to create permanent wooden toy playing areas in the future. Taiteiden yö Forum Korttelissa to 13.8. klo 16-18 (English below)

Tule leikkimään puisilla leluilla Suomesta ja eri puolilta maailmaa!

Tutustu kauniisti valmistettuihin puuleluihin, joita taitavat käsityöläiset ovat tehneet Suomessa ja eri puolilla maailmaa. Nämä ajattomat lelut innostavat luovuuteen, mielikuvitukseen ja merkitykselliseen leikkiin. Monille aikuisille puulelut tuovat mieleen rakkaita muistoja lapsuudesta, m***a tämän päivän lapsille ne voivat olla aivan uusi ja innostava kokemus, joka tuo eri sukupolvia yhteen leikin kautta.

Esittelemme myös upeita Rasekon puualan opiskelijoiden valmistamia käsintehtyjä leluja. Lisäksi pääset kokeilemaan uutta 5-palloista kendamaa, joka tarjoaa hauskan haasteen kaikenikäisille!

Pääsymaksu: 3 € / lapsi

Tule kokemaan puun lämpö, leikin ilo ja luovuuden voima.

Night of the arts at Forum Kortteli

Discover the joy of beautifully crafted wooden toys made by skilled artisans from Finland and around the world. These timeless toys inspire creativity, imagination, and meaningful play. While many adults have fond memories of wooden toys, they can be a delightful new experience for today's children, bringing generations together through play.

We are also proud to showcase wonderful handmade toys created by woodworking students from Raseko. In addition, we have a brand-new 5-ball kendama ready to challenge players of all ages!

Admission: €3 per child

Come and experience the warmth of wood, the joy of play, and the power of creativity.

JAPANDI wooden toy playing area 🇯🇵🇫🇮

Thank you so much for visiting us and playing during our event at MUJI Kamppi! We hope you have enjoyed spending relaxing playing time here in Japan and Nordic atmosphere🇯🇵🇫🇮 The smiles which we have seen here prove that it was really successful😊 Japan and Nordic countries we are located so far, but have the similar simplicity and beauty in it each other. We hope to keep work together and create the JAPANDI wooden toy playing area someday in Finland.

Special event ”JAPANDI Wooden Toy Playing Area” will be held at MUJI Kamppi 6.-7.6.2026!🇯🇵🪵🌿🧸🇫🇮

”JAPANDI Wooden Toy Playing Area” brings 80 different kinds of wonderful wooden toys collected from around the world for children of all ages and their families to MUJI Kamppi. JAPANDI is an interior style that combines the refined beauty of Japanese aesthetics with the warmth and functionality of Scandinavian design.

During the event, ICEtructure will be holding workshops using ice cream sticks, so let’s experience the joy of creating structures using wood together. You can attend this workshop with admission fee of playing area.

Please bring your family to ”JAPANDI Wooden Toy Playing Area,” where you can relax and play while experiencing both Japanese and Nordic styles!

No pre-registration needed
*Children are defined as those aged 6 months to elementary school age. Re-entry is permitted multiple times per day with a ticket. Parents are admitted free of charge.
