Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for the final Piispisperjantai of the season, and to everyone who dropped by throughout the spring. We hope our gatherings helped you get to know the local community and made Turku feel a little more like home.

We believe that even if you are going through a difficult time it is always important to step outside your apartment and stay open to new opportunities. Who knows, you might make a new friend or a valuable connection along the way! And we are here to help you!

Miten Lontoon vilinä vaihtuu suomalaiseen hiljaisuuteen ja haarniskapainiunelmiin? ⚔️🧵

Mussen matkassa -sarjan kahdeksannessa jaksossa Musse tapaa Ambreen Siddique-Islamin – visuaalisen taiteilijan ja graafisen suunnittelijan, joka muutti Lontoosta Turkuun vuonna 2016. Tänä päivänä Ambreen tuntee olevansa enemmän kotonaan Turussa kuin Lontoossa, ja hän arvostaa suomalaisten suoruutta sekä mukavaa hiljaisuutta.

Kohtaamispaikkana toimivassa Sateenkaarikodossa Ambreen kertoo matkastaan, perustamastaan Yarn Clubista sekä yllättävästä intohimostaan: täyden kontaktin haarniskataistelusta (buhurt). Kipinä lajiin syttyi Turun linnan keskiaikatapahtumista, ja linnassa tullaan juhlimaan myös Ambreenin tulevat häät.

Tänä keväänä huippu-urheilija ja vuoden turkulainen 2024 Mustafe Muuse jatkaa kierrostaan kotikaupungissaan – tapaamassa ihmisiä, joiden intohimo tekee Turusta monimuotoisen ja elävän. Turku rakentuu ihmisten kohtaamisista. ❤️
