Lautoka City Council successfully conducted its Public and Stakeholders Workshop as part of the development of the Lautoka City Council Strategic Plan 2026–2031.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders, community representatives, business partners, government agencies, and members of the public to contribute ideas and provide valuable feedback on the future direction of Lautoka City. Participants engaged in meaningful discussions on urban development, service delivery, environmental sustainability, economic growth, infrastructure improvements, and community wellbeing.

Lautoka City Council successfully conducted its Staff Management Workshop as part of the development and implementation of the Strategic Plan 2026–2031, bringing together management and key personnel to strengthen the Council’s vision for the next five years.

The workshop provided an opportunity for staff to collaborate, share ideas, and align departmental goals with the Council’s long-term strategic objectives. Discussions focused on enhancing organizational performance, strengthening leadership and accountability, improving service delivery, building staff capacity, and fostering innovation to meet the evolving needs of the city and its residents. Strategic planning and staff development remain key components of effective municipal governance and organizational growth.

Through active participation and constructive engagement, staff contributed valuable insights towards shaping a resilient, efficient, and future-focused Council. The workshop reaffirmed Lautoka City Council’s commitment to continuous improvement, teamwork, and delivering quality services that support the sustainable development of the Sugar City.

The Lautoka City Council, in collaboration with key stakeholders including the Land Transport Authority (LTA), Fiji Roads Authority (FRA), and the Fiji Police Force, convened a strategic planning meeting to discuss practical solutions aimed at minimizing traffic congestion within Lautoka City.

The meeting focused on identifying current traffic challenges, improving traffic flow, enhancing road safety, and developing coordinated strategies to address increasing vehicle movements within the city. Discussions included traffic management measures, road infrastructure improvements, enforcement initiatives, parking management, and public awareness programs.
