We are delighted to share a joint initiative by The Kidney Hub, South Sea Cruises through Vinaka Fiji we are bringing Kidney screening to Yasawa this week.

Commencing with Tikina Navula today and tomorrow, the team will move down to Tikina Naviti later tomorrow and Friday for screening.

With the rise in NCD and late detections, we believe this important service offered right at our doorstep will have meaningful impact.

Thank you to Dr. Amrish Krishnan and The Kidney Hub team for your support to ensure our maritime communities such as Yasawa and Malolo are covered.

Post our Boat Master License training and Restricted Master Engineer Class 6, this was held in Gunu village last week, we interviewed two participants Mr. Pauliasi Bulileka of Kese Village Yasawa and Mr. Viliame Nasau, an employee of Mai Sunset Beach Resort.

SHORE LEARNING IN ACTION – GUNU!

This week, we commenced our Boat Master & Restricted Master Engineer Class 6 Training in Gunu, Yasawa!

We expected 30 participants — but close to 50 people came forward to register! 🙌🏽 A fantastic reflection of our communities’ eagerness to learn, upskill and strengthen maritime safety.

A big vinaka vakalevu to the MSAF team and South Sea Cruises Group for bringing another valuable learning opportunity right to our shores. 💙

We kicked off First Aid training yesterday at Gunu Village, we hosted 40 participants through Vinaka Fiji.

We acknowledge Zens Medical Nadi for delivering this session at the Gunu Village Community Hall.

Bringing Essential Life Skills Right to Our Island Shores!

South Sea Cruises Group, through Vinaka Fiji, is proud to deliver vital, must-have training to the community of Gunu Village, Naviti, Yasawa.

Living in a maritime region means that knowing how to operate a boat safely and respond during an emergency can make a life-saving difference. That is why we are bringing customised First Aid and Boat Master Licence training directly to the community—right on their own shores.

Supporting the Students of Yasawa High School

The same generous donation of essential items was also shared with students of Yasawa High School.

The donated items included toothbrushes, toothpaste, wash towels, bathing soap, children’s clothing, school bags, cardigans, dresses and other useful essentials.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our kind donors whose generosity continues to support and uplift students across the Yasawa Islands. These thoughtful contributions have brought encouragement, comfort and happiness to many young lives.
