The NZDF Defence Attache, Commander Sarah Bamfield and Commanding Officer of the Force Training Group, LT Col Ravunakana visited the 1/22 Non Commissioned Officers Course at Korolevu, Biausevu, Votualailai training area. Along with the officers we're the instructors of the NZDF assisting the RFMF instructors in assessing the exercise.

On Mon, 4th April 2022, The Defence Adviser for the New Zealand Defence Force, Commander Sarah Bamfield visited the Force Training Group, Nasinu. The NZDF presented the 'sevusevu' that was received and welcomed by the ADJT Lieutenant Baikeitoga on behalf of the Commanding Officer to welcome the 3 members of the NZDF personnel to be part of the Basic Recruit Course this month.

Warm greetings Sir's and Maam's from the home of The Trainers of the Republic of the Fiji Military Forces base here in Nasinu. On Thurs, 18 March 2021 we witness the Graduation parade for the 1/21 Basic All Arms Instructors Course. A total of 24 course participants completed the 09 weeks of training. Amongst the 24 trainees 03 are from the Republic of the Fiji Navy, 02 from the TF Brigade, 02 from the FPF and 17 from the Land Force Unit including 01 Female.

The Commander Land Force Lieutenant Colonel Jofiliti Gade Talemaibau was the Chief Guest at graduation Parade held at the Force Training Group FTG Drill square in Nasinu

In his opening address, Lt Col J.G. Talemaibau reminds the graduates that the main purpose is for them to rise up to expectations required of them to possess the knowledge and attitude of an All Arms Instructor through theoretical understanding and practical skills in order to become a competent, effective and efficient Basic All Arms Instructor and Trainer. BAA Instructors course has allowed them to be able to conduct training, Administer Training, have leadership in training and to also conduct shooting coaches.
“So when you have graduated today, you know you have mastered and acquired the necessary knowledge and skills required to assist you in your work within the training Cadre in your respective Units. He also congratulated them for successfully completing the first BAA Instr Course for the year 2021.”
It is a significant accomplishment and milestone which has required their determination, dedication and commitment on their part.

The RFMF and the FPF have over the years played an important and crucial role in the country towards National building and strategic development for instance in our recent participation and involvement in the HADR responses during the last 5 months under the effect devastation of TC Yasa and TC Ana. However, the two disciplinary institutions continue to put emphasis in the capacity development of its personnel.

Lt Col J.G. Talemaibau also congratulate the hard working directing staff and instructors for moulding and preparing the fine graduates to be trained and as qualified Basic All Arms Instructors of the RFMF and FPF.

The award recipient was:
1) OS B. Tukana (RFN) - BEST EQUIPMENT INSTRUCTOR;
2) LCPL S. Cuanikeli (3FIR) - BEST WEAPON INSTRUCTOR;
3) PTE N. Turaga (FTG) - BEST THEORY INSTRUCTOR;
4) LCPL K. Aropio (3FIR) - BEST DRILL INSTRUCTOR;
5) LCPL L. Naliva - OUTSTANDING PEERS AWARD;
6) PO P. Niurua (RFN) - DISPLAYING OUTSTANDING LEADERSHIP;
7) The special award was awarded to PC J. Liuta and PC A. Raubeci of FPF for the special commendation Award and the
8) Last award was the award of Merit which was awarded to LCPL I. Baravilala of FTG.
