VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Rull Municipality Mayor and Council Office wishes to announce to the general public of a vacancy for a Administrative Officer.
Seeking someone with:
1. 2 to 4 years of experience in administrative work or related/or holds a degree in Administrative Managementor related.
2. A working knowledge of government finance, law with proven experience in administering budgets;
3. Possesses good communication skills, good moral character and able to speak fluent Yapese.
4. Capable of multi-tasking, able to adopt a flexible schedule of tasks which may include after normal working
hours and weekends and work odd hours if needed.
5. Must have a reliable transportation to and from work, able to drive and holds a valid driver’s license.
6. Must have a trustworthy and responsible background, dependable, friendly & willing to learn attitude and able
to work with others well.
The duties to be performed by the Administrative Officer, pursuant to delegation from and direction of the Mayor,
shall include, but not be limited to:
1. Assist the Municipal and Mayor’s Office filings, keeping meeting records and other secretarial duties including
running daily office errands and cleanliness of the office.
2. Inspection of Rull Municipality Businesses to meet compliances, serving citations and related.
3. Assist in retrieving and counting of daily sales
4. With ability of providing instructional leadership to department managers, developing and implementing the
strategic plans.
5. Developing and/or implementing budgets and marketing efforts for the municipal.
6. Performs financial and managerial analyses for the Mayor (and Municipal Council, as required by the Mayor) pertaining to Municipal operations and programs under consideration: gathers information relevant to topic; evaluates data and makes recommendations based on findings; prepares reports; and makes presentations to the Mayor and, as needed, to the Municipal Council and other interested parties.
7. Assists the Mayor and Municipal Council (as required by the Mayor) with strategic and long-range planning for the Municipality: participates in planning efforts at the local and regional level; keeps the Mayor apprised of developments at the state and federal level that impact the Municipality; monitors pending legislation for impact on the Municipality; oversee compliance with new legislation.
