The property stretches over almost 200 hectares of land, comprising of woods, fields, lakes and farmlands. Landscapes typical of the Mayenne countryside allow you to discover and immerse yourself in all kinds of natural wildlife: pheasants, partridges, deer and wild boar can all be seen roaming around the heart of the property. THE CHÂTEAU:
The Château at La Mazure lies at the edge of a 60-hectare forest, a testament to the grandeur of its period. Built overlooking a monumental entrance, the living rooms were spread out to offer panoramic views of a broad landscape. At the time, guests were first welcomed in the Grand Salon before dining in the Grande Salle à Manger. Male guests would then enjoy a cigar in the Fumoir, while “mesdames” could be found chatting in the Petit Salon. LES COMMUNS:
Les Communs and its surrounding area was the centre of activity at La Mazure; here, the gardeners and sharecroppers kept a barnyard, stables, and kennels which helped them maintain and run the entire property. Now newly restored, these buildings host functions and social events in a modern setting, all the while conserving the authenticity of their past. LANGUAGE COURSES
The propriety at la Mazure has been hosting linguistic courses for more than 30 years. These English courses for adolescents and English and French immersions for adults follow the methodology created by Aude le Marié, which provides the participants with the tools required when learning English.
