Topiary Tuesday ! Waking up to the house martins: watching them skydive, accelerate, and swirl like this for hours is such a treat. I am so happy that the scortching heat didn’t harm the younglings. 🇫🇷 Nos hirondelles sont ma madeleine de Proust. Je regarde la nouvelle génération tourner autour de la maison très soulagée que la chaleur soit descendue. Nos topiaires cubes tiennent également le choc mais la pelouse et d’autres arbres ont bien souffert .

The lavender is almost out and the température this evening is at last back to ´normal’. For how long ? I don’t know but we are enjoying being outside again. Carpe Diem while it last ! 🇫🇷 La température est redescendue enfin … pour combien de temps nul ne sait vraiment mais nous savons tous que ce répit est de courte durée hélas !

We have almost finished - we are still waiting for the last of the gravel to finish the parking area but what do you think ? The gravel is local and its pinkish, purple undertones really change the courtyard. 🇫🇷 Voilà la cour de la maison avec le nouveau gravier. Nous sommes très satisfaits. La couleur sied parfaitement maintenant je réfléchis aux rosiers et autres plantes à rajouter.

I can tell you, it is hard, very hard but we have almost finished laying down the 80 T + gravel in the courtyard.
The color is amazing. We are collectively exhausted.
