One of the biggest mistakes you can make when thinking about moving to France is asking:

"How much does it cost to live in France?"

Because France doesn't have one cost of living.

€2,500 a month for a couple in Paris can feel very different from €2,500 in Toulouse, Brittany or Normandy.

Housing is where the difference becomes especially noticeable.

In one city, your rent could consume most of your available budget.

In another, that same €2,500 could potentially leave room for cafés, weekend trips, savings—and simply not having to think about every euro you spend.
