Cde. Latjor Maloth Jany Chak. is a well-known youth and student leader from Mayiandit County, Unity State - South Sudan.

In 2022:

During the race for Chairmanship of Mayiandit County Students Association in Universities and Higher Institutes, Cde. Alberto Gatbel Yuong Riak .stood firmly with Cde. Latjor Maloth Jany Chak. Alberto gave him full political support, campaign mobilization, and stood by his side until the end of the contest. Their alliance was seen as strong brotherhood in Mayiandit student politics.

In 2026 (Current)

The political tables have turned. Now, Cde. Alberto Gatbel Yuong Riak is aspiring for the big position of Chairman of the Nuer Youth Union (NUYU) .the umbrella youth body for all Nuer youth.

However, his former ally Cde. Latjor Maloth Jany Chak .has officially defected and withdrawn his support from Alberto Gatbel Yuong Riak's camp. He is no longer standing with Alberto in his NUYU Chairmanship bid.

This defection has caused serious discussion within Mayiandit youth and Nuer Youth Union politics, as many remember the 2022 solidarity between the two leaders.

Politics is indeed dynamic. Loyalty and interests change with time.

Deep inside the villages!
Thank God almighty father, I have finally re-united with my relatives in Mayiandit and Leer counties of Unity state; after 13 years of separation.

My heartfelt appreciation to the Greenland and Yelow families for the love shown to me.

Guys, do not blame Dinkas for the problems in South Sudan. Ordinary Dinka people are suffering just like everyone else.

Our problem is not one tribe. Our country has been captured by a small group of powerful families, elites from different communities, and their allies who benefit from instability.

Peace threatens those who profit from war, division and the looting of our resources. Dr. Riek Machar has often been used as a scapegoat to keep communities divided while those benefiting from the chaos escape accountability.

Let us stop blaming tribes and ordinary people. Let us question the system, demand accountability from our leaders, and unite as South Sudanese
