ECMC BERLIN 2026 FUNDRAISING EVENTS
To support the organisation team of this year’s European Cycle Messenger Championship in Berlin, that will attend from the 14th to the 18th of May, CoopCycle, as a network of bike messenger cooperatives, is organising a sister event on the 25th of April in three beautiful cities : Lyon, Barcelona, Baiona !
Local groups will make various events to gather money to give away to the major event !

We introduce a few of the latest cooperative structures for bike logistics to join our federation 🌎

They now use our digital platform to run their daily deliveries. Moreover our services, including grant-seeking and cooperative community support, are now advantageous to them!

We now have 60 organizations spread across 15 countries thanks to these fantastic additions to the CoopCycle network. 🙌

Hopefully many more to come in the fam’ to redefine bike delivery together ✊

At the end of August, several coopcycle delegates flocked to Malmö for the Nordic Cycle Messenger Championships co-hosted by 🇸🇪

The small but vibrant Nordic messenger community (and many esteemed guests from further afield!) gathered in the southern Swedish city for a weekend of races, parties, workshops and side events.

We look forward to returning to Malmö next year for the CBSM (Swedish champs) and heading north for the 10th edition of the NCMC in Göteborgs ✊

Bike messenger championship ?
ℹ️ a competition that highlights the courier’s craft, combining speed, skill, and route organization. Beyond the race, it is a safe and inclusive space where the messenger community gathers, celebrates diversity, and shares experiences. Through open forums and collective discussions, the event also serves as a place of learning and exchange, strengthening both professional practices and community bonds.

For 4 days, SHIFT* event organized by CoopCycle and hosted by By-Expressen took place in Copenhagen. The aim of the event was first to facilitate a meeting of non-cis male bike messengers (and allies) to share their experiences and work together on a draft manifesto and protocol to be shared among all the entities that belong to CoopCycle. In addition, people/groups outside CoopCycle were also invited, as the ultimate goal is to build network around the gender issues among all workers in the sector.
The second part of this forum was to discuss about inner practises of the federation and its members, around global subjects as workers’ rights, self-organization models, communication, implication or even finances.
It was 4 full days of hard work and long discussions that also permits to gain motivation to better tackle long term projects and fights we all agree on around the bike logistics sector, but not only !
We are proud of what we do, and what we are !
We also want to thanks all the persons that participated to the events, from , to the P-WILL [Platform Work Inclusion Living Lab] without which institute we could not make this event possible. We would like to thanks also the and to welcome us so warmly with nice work spaces and also the kitchen crew that brought to us that was as amazing as their food !!!

Les camarades de Mensakas / Barcelone nous écrivent : "Dans la nuit du 1er au 2 décembre, nos locaux ont subi un grave incendie qui a détruit nos vélos, batteries, casques, et bien plus encore. Nous sommes une coopérative de livraison qui se bat pour les droits des travailleureuses depuis 2018. Aujourd'hui plus que jamais, nous avons besoin de votre aide pour survivre."

Nous avons le plaisir de vous convier à une soirée de soutien aux associations qui accompagnent les personnes migrantes dont la Maison des coursiers by CoopCycle fait partie organisé par Friction Magazine

"Le projet d’un ministère de l’immigration qui se profile dangereusement marque un cran supplémentaire dans l’extrême-droitisation du champ politique et semble une suite logique à l’adoption de la loi Immigration que le RN qualifiait lui-même de « victoire idéologique ».
En tant que personnes LGBTI, nous nous sentons concernées et solidaires : nous entendons prendre notre part dans la lutte engagée contre ces mesures.
Au printemps dernier, nous avons réuni collectifs LGBTI et structures d’accompagnement de personnes migrantes. Et le constat était sans appel, les assos ont besoin d’argent et de bénévoles.
Le 4 octobre, on allie l’utile à l’agréable en faisant ce qu’on fait de mieux : la fête.
On a invité la crème de la crème de la nuit q***r pour une parenthèse dansante et solidaire. 10 artistes, 4 collectifs, 2 dancefloors pour se mélanger et se rencontrer. "
