MY Tour de France

MY Tour de France I broke my back in a mountain biking accident in September 2013 but I'm going to the Tour de France with Team Cannondale in 2014. This is my trip page.

In September of 2013 I was running in second place in my first mountain bike race of the season at Fernandina Beach near Jacksonville, FL and I had an unfortunate bike failure that led to me breaking my back. After having my T3 through T9 vertebrae fused with titanium rods and screws to hold my back together, I was off the bike for 2 months. Cannondale was the manufacturer of my racing mountain bi

ke and we came to an agreement only 5 months later without the need for lawyers or lawsuits and one of the terms of the agreement was my inclusion, along with a friend, in a all-inclusive riding tour of the last week of the Tour de France from the Pyrenees Mountains to the finish in Paris. This is my documentation of that trip, along with my follow up solo tour of Europe after the Tour de France is completed. It's the trip of a lifetime for my friend and me and we hope to document every single moment of it.

Just added 200+ photos taken by the tour guides. Lots of good images of the Pyrenees and us riding.

While the food was amazing during the trip you don't see a lot of "foodie" pics. I just didn't think it was a good idea taking pictures of each course at the meals in amazing restaurants. Believe me I wanted to, but in this I restrained myself.

Heading home today. Nice trip and the Duvine/Cannondale guides were fantastique and really earn their pay.
