In French châteaux, the bed was the crown jewel of the bedroom. Heavy, textured fabrics overhanging a bed represented wealth and nobility. They also provided warmth and privacy in a space that was often difficult to heat and staffed with servants.

Today, textiles bring that same layered richness to our bedroom suite perched on the Avre river.
