🇭🇺Magyarország nemzeti ünnepén és hivatalos állami ünnepén, augusztus 20-án az államalapítást ünnepeljük, valamint első királyunkra, Szent Istvánra emlékezünk, akit VII. Gergely pápa ezen a napon avatott szentté 1083-ban.🎆

A rendszerváltoztatás utáni hagyományokkal összhangban a mai napon tesznek esküt a Magyar Honvédség frissen végzett tisztjei, akik Magyarország függetlenségének, illetve az állampolgárok jogainak és szabadságának védelmére tesznek esküt, amelyet az Alaptörvény és a törvények betartásával és betartatásával hajtanak végre. A Magyar Honvédség ifjú tisztjei így járulnak hozzá a demokrácia, a jogállam és az emberi jogok biztosításához egyre gyorsabban változó világunkban.

🇭🇺On August 20, Hungary’s national holiday and official public holiday, we celebrate the founding of the state and commemorate our first king, Saint Stephen, whom Pope Gregory VII canonized on this day in 1083.🎆

In keeping with traditions established after Hungary's return to democracy in 1989, the newly commissioned officers of the Hungarian Defence Forces take their oath today, pledging to defend Hungary’s independence and the rights and freedoms of its citizens, which they will carry out by observing and enforcing the Fundamental Law and the laws of the land. In this way, the young officers of the Hungarian Defence Forces contribute to safeguarding democracy, the rule of law, and human rights in our ever-changing world.

🇭🇺Le 20 août, fête nationale hongroise et jour férié officiel, nous célébrons la fondation de l’État et rendons hommage à notre premier roi, saint Étienne, que le pape Grégoire VII a canonisé ce jour-là en 1083.🎆

Conformément aux traditions établies après le retour de la Hongrie à la démocratie en 1989, les nouveaux officiers des Forces de Défense Hongroises prêtent serment aujourd’hui, s’engageant à défendre l’indépendance de la Hongrie ainsi que les droits et libertés de ses citoyens, ce qu’ils feront en respectant et en faisant respecter la Loi Fondamentale et les lois du pays. C’est ainsi que les jeunes officiers des Forces de Défense Hongroises contribuent à la sauvegarde de la démocratie, de l’État de droit et des droits de l’homme dans notre monde en constante évolution.

Az Országgyűlés megválasztotta Baka Andrást Magyarország új köztársasági elnökévé.
Magyarország nyolcadik köztársasági elnökének beiktatására augusztus 19-én kerül sor.
Magyarország leendő új államfője jogtudós, 1991 és 2008 között az Emberi Jogok Európai Bíróságának bírója, 2009 és 2011 között pedig a Legfelsőbb Bíróság elnöke volt.
Gratulálunk Magyarország új köztársasági elnökének megválasztásához, és e kiemelt felelősséggel járó megbízatásához sok erőt, jó egészséget és bölcsességet kívánunk!

L’Assemblée nationale a élu András Baka président de la République de Hongrie.
La cérémonie d’investiture du huitième président de la République aura lieu le 19 août.
Juriste et magistrat, András Baka a été juge à la Cour européenne des droits de l’homme de 1991 à 2008, puis président de la Cour suprême de 2009 à 2011.
Nous adressons nos félicitations au nouveau président de Hongrie et lui souhaitons pleine réussite dans l’exercice de cette haute fonction.

🕯️ As people across Europe, including Hungary, commemorate the Roma Holocaust, our Permanent Representation had the honour of attending the Roma Holocaust Commemoration organised by the Council of Europe. As the Council of Europe, and in particular Commissioner Michael O'Flaherty, remains strongly committed to the rights of Roma communities, our Representation has also been actively engaged in this important cause throughout the year.

🤝 Hungary continues its cooperation with the Roma and Traveller Division in the field of police training, and this year our Representation also marked International Roma Day with a special film screening.

Together, we remember the past and work towards a future built on dignity, equality and human rights. 💙💚

🕯️Alors que des commémorations ont lieu à travers l'Europe, y compris en Hongrie, notre Représentation permanente a eu l'honneur de participer à la cérémonie de commémoration de l'Holocauste des Roms organisée par le Conseil de l'Europe. À l'image du Conseil de l'Europe, et tout particulièrement du Commissaire Michael O'Flaherty, qui accorde une importance particulière aux droits des communautés roms, notre Représentation s'est également engagée sur cette question tout au long de l'année.

🤝 La Hongrie poursuit sa coopération avec la Division des Roms et des Gens du voyage dans le domaine de la formation des forces de police, et cette année notre Représentation a également marqué la Journée internationale des Roms par une projection de film.

Ensemble, nous honorons la mémoire du passé et œuvrons pour un avenir fondé sur la dignité, l'égalité et les droits humains. 💙💚

We have concluded a productive spring and summer at the Council of Europe! 🌍
Highlights included:

🔹 the Ministerial Session in Chișinău, where member States adopted the Political Declaration on the European Convention on Human Rights and Migration, reaffirming both the protection of fundamental rights and the importance of effective migration management.
🔹 the visit of the President of the Venice Commission to Budapest, providing an opportunity for constructive dialogue on constitutional and rule of law matters.

Looking forward to continuing our work to strengthen democracy, human rights and the rule of law across Europe. 🤝

Un printemps et un été riches en activités au Conseil de l'Europe ! 🌍
Parmi les temps forts :

🔹 la Session ministérielle à Chișinău, où les États membres ont adopté la Déclaration politique sur la Convention européenne des droits de l'homme et la migration, réaffirmant à la fois la protection des droits fondamentaux et l'importance d'une gestion efficace des migrations.
🔹 la visite du Président de la Commission de Venise à Budapest, qui a permis des échanges constructifs sur les questions constitutionnelles et l'État de droit.

Poursuivons nos efforts pour renforcer la démocratie, les droits de l'homme et l'État de droit partout en Europe. 🤝

Magyarország Európa Tanács melletti Állandó Képviselete nevében szeretnénk kifejezni őszinte köszönetünket Strasbourg polgármesterének Catherine Trautmann asszonynak a szolidaritásért, amelyet a strasbourgi Petőfi Sándor-emlékmű megrongálása után tanúsított.

Hálásak vagyunk Önnek, Hervé Moritz és Arieh Adida polgármester-helyetteseknek, valamint a városi hatóságoknak is a sajnálatos események után azonnal meghozott intézkedésekért, különösen a megrongált emlékmű gyors megtisztításáért. A gyors beavatkozásnak köszönhetően a sérült emlékművön a rongálás nyomai így kevésbé szembe tűnőek. A pünkösdi ünnepek közeledtével a Képviseletünk pedig rendbe t***e és pár virággal pótolta az emlékmű megrongált környezetét, addig is, amíg annak teljes felújítására sor kerül.

Őszintén reméljük, hogy a gyalázatos t***ek elkövetőit hamarosan azonosítják, és az emlékmű hamarosan visszanyeri teljes méltóságát, így továbbra is díszítve a strasbourgi Petőfi teret, amely közösségeink közötti emlékezet és barátság fontos szimbóluma.

Au nom de la Représentation Permanente de la Hongrie auprès du Conseil de l'Europe, nous tenons à exprimer nos sincères remerciements à Mme Catherine Trautmann, maire de Strasbourg, pour la solidarité dont elle a fait preuve à la suite de la dégradation du monument dédié à Sándor Petőfi à Strasbourg.

Nous vous sommes très reconnaissants, ainsi qu’aux adjoints au maire Hervé Moritz et Arieh Adida, ainsi qu’aux autorités municipales, pour les mesures prises immédiatement après ces événements regrettables, en particulier pour le nettoyage rapide du monument vandalisé. Grâce à cette intervention rapide, les traces de vandalisme sur le monument endommagé sont désormais moins visibles. À l’approche des fêtes de la Pentecôte, notre Représentation a remis en état les abords du monument et y a déposé quelques fleurs, en attendant sa restauration complète.

Nous espérons sincèrement que les auteurs de ces actes honteux seront bientôt identifiés et que le monument retrouvera rapidement toute sa dignité, continuant ainsi à embellir la place Petőfi à Strasbourg, qui est un symbole important de la mémoire et de l’amitié entre nos communautés.

Hálásak vagyunk a Magyar Operagála iránti hatalmas érdeklődésért és a közönség szeret***eljes fogadtatásáért! 🎶

Külön öröm volt, hogy a Magyar Nemzeti Férfikar szólistái egy igazán különleges zenei utazásra invitálhatták a közönséget: ismert és ritkábban hallható opera- és operettrészletek csendültek fel Mozart, Verdi és más világhírű szerzők műveiből, valamint magyar zeneszerzők alkotásaiból.

Szívből köszönjük minden művésznek a felejthetetlen előadásokat és hogy velünk voltak ezen a csodálatos estén! 👏
Köszönjük a Párizsi Liszt Intézet szervezését és a közönség lelkes jelenlétét — reméljük, hamarosan újra találkozunk!

We are truly grateful for the tremendous interest in the Hungarian Opera Gala and for the warm welcome from the audience! 🎶

It was a special pleasure that the soloists of the Hungarian National Male Choir could take the audience on an exceptional musical journey, featuring both famous and rarely performed opera and operetta excerpts by Mozart, Verdi, and other renowned composers, alongside works by Hungarian composers.

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the artists for their unforgettable performances and for being part of this wonderful evening! 👏
We are grateful to the Liszt Institute of Paris for organizing the event and thank the audience for their enthusiastic support — we hope to see you again soon!

Sajnálatos módon újabb rongálás történt a strasbourgi Petőfi-emlékhelynél. Az Állandó Képviselet a rendőrséget értesít***e és a helyszínen tájékoztatta az esetről. A rendőrségi vizsgálat folyamatban van.

Megdöbbenéssel értesültünk arról, hogy Strasbourgban megrongálták Petőfi Sándor szobrát. Az esetet mélységesen elítéljük!

A szobor Petőfi Sándor emléke előtt tiszteleg, aki a magyar szabadság, nemzeti függetlenség és az európai demokratikus értékek egyik legfontosabb jelképe. A Strasbourgban felállított alkotás nemcsak a magyar közösség számára bír kiemelt jelentőséggel, hanem a magyar–francia kulturális kapcsolatok és az európai szellemi örökség szimbóluma is.

Az ilyen cselekmények elfogadhatatlanok, sértik a kulturális emlékezetet, valamint a közösségek közötti kölcsönös tisztelet alapelveit. A történtek kapcsán a szükséges jogi lépéseket megtesszük az illetékes hatóságokkal együttműködésben.

Ezúton is köszönjük azoknak a magyar állampolgároknak és honfitársainknak, akik az esetet haladéktalanul jelezték. Az összefogás és az egymás iránti felelősségvállalás közösségünk fontos értékei.

A mai napon hivatalosan is megalakult az új magyar kormány, miután az új miniszterek átvették megbízólevelüket a köztársasági elnöktől, és tegnap letették hivatali esküjüket. A Magyar Péter miniszterelnök vezette kormányban a Külügyminisztériumot Orbán Anita miniszterelnök-helyettes vezeti. 🇭🇺🇭🇺🇭🇺

The new Hungarian government was officially formed today after the new ministers received their letters of appointment from the President of the Republic following their committee hearings and were sworn in yesterday. In the government led by Prime Minister Péter Magyar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is headed by Deputy Prime Minister Orbán Orbán Anita🇭🇺🇭🇺

Kertész Ágnes nagykövet megbízólevelének az Európa Tanács főtitkárának történő átadását követően látogatást tett Bjørn Bergénél, az Európa Tanács főtitkár-helyettesénél, akivel gyümölcsöző megbeszélést folytattak a szervezet és Magyaroroszág közötti együttműködés kérdéseiről.

Following the presentation of Ambassador Ágnes Kertész’s credentials to the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, she paid a visit to Bjørn Berge, the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, with whom she held fruitful discussions on issues of cooperation between the organization and Hungary.

Après avoir remis ses lettres de créance au Secrétaire Général du Conseil de l'Europe, l'ambassadrice Ágnes Kertész s'est rendue chez Bjørn Berge, Secrétaire Général adjoint du Conseil de l'Europe, avec lequel elle a eu des discussions fructueuses sur les questions de coopération entre l'organisation et la Hongrie.
