The European Pharmacopoeia (Ph. Eur.) Commission is seeking experts to join the reactivated Botulinum Toxin Working Party (BOT WP).

🔴 Deadline: End of October 2026

At its June 2026 session, the Ph. Eur. Commission decided to reactivate the BOT WP marking an important step towards the gradual phasing out of the mouse lethal dose 50% (mLD50) assay from the current Ph. Eur. monographs on Botulinum toxin type A for injection (2113) and Botulinum toxin type B for injection (2581).

Holders of Certificates of suitability to the monographs of the Ph. Eur. The European Pharmacopoeia Commission (EPC) has adopted at its 185th session a new general chapter 2.5.46. Phenolic antioxidants in plastic materials. The chapter establishes a new analytical procedure for the control of phenolic antioxidants in plastic materials used in pharmaceutical applications.

The procedure enables the simultaneous determination of seven different plastic additives using ultraviolet radiation-based high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC-UV) and will be published in European Pharmacopoeia Issue 13.3, with an implementation date of 1 July 2027.
