A new school year begins.

Millions of young Europeans are headed back to class.

History lessons are where each generation learns to think critically, understand difference, and see the past through more than one set of eyes.

Teaching history well is one of the longstanding commitments the Council of Europe has held for over 70 years.

To every teacher, pupil, and parent starting the new school year: have a great one.
